Clear dark red amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, bread, brown sugar, light roasted and caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottled. A hazy chestnut colored beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of bread and caramel. The flavor is very sweet - unfortunately artificially and notes of caramel. Thanks fonefan for sharing. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 14, 2009

30 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with small redish glare and a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Very sweet flavoured. Light roasted malt base and vague. Sweet and lingering malt flavoured finish. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JAN 6, 2008
Bottle from Bier Koning. Dark brown. Slight head. Sugary, corn nose. Strange taste. Some honey, some burnt sugar, some water. Wholly unimpressive, perhaps due to the low alcohol content. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 23, 2007
Bottle at In De Wildeman. Mellow, slightly sweet corn aroma. Taste is very interesting, like Malta Goya, not quite as sweet, with good bread notes. Carbonation is in check and perfect. Definitely not an Oud Bruin, but certainly an interesting and very different beer. emotv (353) - Izmir, TURKEY - AUG 27, 2007
Tasted at Amsterdam train station cafe. Dark colour but quite brown, not bodied, easy taste, nothing stays so much at later. not speacial beer. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2007
Bottled. Aroma of burnt sugar and artificial sugar. Very dark brown color, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, sugar, molasses, hints of hops, sticky. Too sweet. Although their pilsener is pretty bitter, strange.
