At an mitra in purmerend, brown, foamy head, lots of sweets and some burnt grainy, a tipicale oud bruin.
Flesje gedronken bij d’n Bok met Bart. Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Aroma van de visafslag. Smaak is zoet en houtig. Geen nasmaak. Karyots (23) - BELGIUM - DEC 28, 2014
Pours dark brown with a big head. Smells of candy. Tastes like a sweetened dubbel with a thin watered down finish. Too sweet for me. DwarfeD (3513) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - NOV 7, 2014
30cl bottle at home from local Plus supermarket. Dark clearish amber brown with a medium off-white head. Low to medium body with low carbonation. Very sweet with low bitterness. Brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits and honey. Way too sweet for me. MarcoDL (4926) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 30, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown color. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is really sweet, like maltose lemonade. Nasty chemical aftertaste. Lacks depth. This is really bad. jmgreenuk (9449) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAY 13, 2014
Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is sweet malt. The flavour is strong sweet with a super sweet dry earthy palate and a sweet finish. All about the sweetness. Not good at all!

Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of raisins, overripe dark fruit and caramel. Flavour is Diabeetus, with just a little underlying bitterness in the finish. Light bodied with light carbonation. deanso (10132) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAY 13, 2014
33cl bottle from Bier & Zo, Rotterdam.
Thin creamy off white head. Swet. Clear brown pour. Ok. blackisle (2582) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - NOV 10, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2013 opaque brown color, off-white head, vanishes quickly, sweet fruity syrup nose, corn, bread, caramel, light body, thin texture, sweet taste and finish. I wouldn’t call this a brown sle. Belongs to ’low’ categorie like other Dutch OudBruin’s. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 13, 2013
The head is medium, the body black. It smells caramel, sweet, christstollen, honey, honey cake. The taste is very sweet,, honey, brown sugar, caramel, honey cake. Medium, a bit less sugar taste would be better in my opinion. 10/9/8/9/10/9 bluebetty (1021) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle with thanks to my sister. Very dark borwn with smallish tan coloured head. Disappears super quickly. Aromas are quite sweet, artifically so. A touch of roasted grain an that is about it. Flavours are super sweet. Thin mouthfeel and that is about it. Thanks Cath.
