Flesje bij een proeverij. Amberkleurig, weinig kraag. Aroma is zoet caramellig. Smaakt bitterzoet, caramel, lichtmoutig. Waterige afdronk. Niet zo heel goed.
0.3 l bottle from ’Wijnhuis Blerick’, best before May 2018, apparently with a nieuw recipe according to the label (now with four different malts). Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, red fruits, toasted nuts and hints of straw. Quite sweet, just slightly bitter, malty, moderately fruity and a little grassy-spicy taste of caramel, raisins, red fruits, some toasted nuts and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite nice, decent Alt! Tinaccio (521) - Milano, ITALY - MAY 28, 2017
On keg at De Hems, Soho, London, UK. It pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is malts and caramel mostly. Taste is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Overall terrible for me... Grumpelmies (431) - GERMANY - DEC 31, 2016
Bottle. Amber with a quickly fading head and no lacing. Aroma of nuts and caramell. Taste is the same plus some toffee and herbs/spices. Aftertaste is a little bit sour and herbal hoppy. Medium carbonation. A bir watery. It’s alright but I felt the addition of spices/herbs wasn’t necessary. kermis (14955) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2016
Draft at Heffer, Amsterdam. Near clear dark amber with an off white head. Aroma of yeast, plastercine, caramel, malt and some dark fruit notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. vipinvelp (4580) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 22, 2016
WEEKNLBIER festival. Last beer. Clear dark ruby, tanned lacing foam head. Light caramel aroma, light sweet taste. Bit watery, but then what to expect after first drinking 9 strong beers. (Den Haag 201605)

At Maakun’s. Bottle courtesy of Maakun. Dark amber/tea brown with greyish head. Smells of sugarated cardboard. Caramel malts, old leaves, tea, faint ginger. Distant dusty sweet, light bitter. Very dry and leathery. Very English, I think. Low carbonation, thin body. Not my... Cup of tea... Nudge nudge wink wink. Maakun (6710) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 21, 2016
Bottle shared at home. Clear dark amber with off white head. Cardboard, weird caramel notes that are not sweet at all but very dry, quite herbal, tea, dusty, dry toffee. Light bitter and barely any sweetness. Light bodied with dry feel. Strangely dry, not very good. DrNosha (2832) - Württemberg, Germany, GERMANY - MAR 6, 2016

On draft in Amsterdam. More malty than I expected. Aroma is fine. Head is just ok with not a lot of lacing. Has an interesting almost dark herbal finish. I liked it a lot.
