Breaking the mold among existing beer styles, Lindemans developed the Botanical Lambics, a collection of old gueuzes with a twist. Second in this series, BlossomGueuze is based on a blend of 12 months with 2 to 3 year-old lambic fermented in oak and elderflower. Refermented in the bottle, BlossomGueuze has a golden colour and combines the sourness of lambic with the subtle flavours of elderflower. Ideal as an aperitif, it is also perfect for food pairings.

Amber color, sparkling small head. Aroma fruit, wood, tart. Taste starts with honey sweet, then champagne, elderflower, medium body, sourness and slighly tart finish. Very nice balanced. Great beer to enyoj it.

0.75 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Appearance is orange, cloudy and nice head. Aroma has wood, fruits, mold. Taste has fruits, white wine, wood. This is dry, but not brut. Not really sweet either, but, eh, floral. Great substitute for sparkling wine.

Bottle into a wineglass showing well filtered deep gold with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of brett and Indian curry spices. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Moderately intense tartness with pronounced notes of green pepper followed by a mid palate of sweet green apples. Very short finish but with a strong vegetal background throughout.

Bottle shared at tasting session. Light yellow colour. Nose is elderflower, geuze, floral, some benzin. Taste is low sourness, that blends perfectly with the elderflower. Fast finish, lovely aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to Phil. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head. The aroma is strong funk, floral, oak. Medium body, funky, oak, light floral, very good.

Bottle bought @ Etre IIRC. 2015 vintage. Hazy tiny burnt orange pour with a frothy white head. Very pleasant elderflower nose. Lemon, hay, dry soil, leather & barnyard. Sour, floral & tiny funky taste. Soft, dry & tart mouthfeel. Solid!

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 Vintage 2015. Bottle from Dyspensa in Radom. My bottle was 6% ABV, Fantastyczny zapach, czarny bez, zapach miodu rzepakowego, dorodne brzoskwinie. Wyglad to mocno musujace piwo o pomaranczowej barwie, blyskawicznie rosnaca piana i opadajaca takze szybko jak woda w wodospadzie Niagara. Lekko mgliste. Kapsel + korek, lakierowana butelka wiec oprawa wspaniala. Smak wytrawny bardzo vrzoskwiniowy, miodowy, ze spora dawka kwasu, smak cydru rzemieslniczego i wyczuwalny bez. Caly czas krazyly nad orginalna szklanka Lindemansa zapachy jakby perfum czy innych olejkow do kapieli. Wspaniale wspolgralo z bigosem tradycyjnym zrobionym na dosc kwasno. Wspanialy objad kwaskowy, polecam

A 750ml bottle, bottled in September 2015. Poured into a Lindemans flute glass. It was a clear golden colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some nice lacing. Aromas of elderflower and lychee jelly with hints of oak. Tastes sour, oak, herbal, funk, white wine, grape, elderflower and lychee. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, elderflower and lychee… I was curious. When I did a search of “elderflower smells like…” lychee actually popped up automatically for me, so clearly someone did the same search as I did. This was all the more interesting since even though I’ve also tried Mamouche, I still had no idea what elderflower was supposed to smell or taste like. But the result here was good with nice aroma and flavours that weren’t too flowery since they were of the lychee fruit. And on top of that, I thought that this turned out better than Cantillon Mamouche.
