Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Výborné pivo, ochucené o černý rybíz s typickými prvky lambicu. Vytříbená chuť.

0.25l bottle. Aroma is sweet and tart with nice cassis character. Taste is also sour with enough sweetness and cassis character. Overall it’s very good beer.

tap @ belgian pub (krakkow) dark red or ruby colour, medimum body, strong carbonated, very sweet, tastes like black current and other forest berries, fruity, fresh

Deep red. Opaque. Small, red head. Concentrated currant aroma. Taste is hysterically sweet.

Bottle - just too freakin sweet - also a bit two dimensional - blueberry cordial flavour is kinda all I can taste so no complexity - had this been sour, it could have been stellar but ultimately I wouldn’t seek this out again.

Incredibly good and fruity scent of black currants. The taste is amazingly good also of black currants. Delicious aftertaste that fills out the front of the mouth forever. Delicious beer that is easy to drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Appearance: clear deep ruby with one finger of fluffy pink/purple head, good retention and patchy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: intense black currant, light earth, hint of oak. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate-high tart, minimal bitter. (7/10) Palate: light body, lively carbonation, crisp tart finish. (4/5) That’s a lot of fun if you like black currants: the fruit completely dominates the base lambic, but tastes very authentic, with a hint of that earthy note you get from the berry skins. The tartness mediates the high sweetness so that the final product is balanced, with neither feeling excessive. It’s almost as sweet as Faro, for example, but much more palatable. (15/20) 7.5/10 #ryansbooze ryansbooze.com

Plenty blackcurrant in the aroma. Decent sourness, still more blackcurrant. Medium carbonation. Nice.
