Poured a dark ruby/plum color with a vivid pink head that deflated quickly. The nose was black currant, spruce and mint with a slight damp earthiness. The taste started with tart and vinious currant, followed by fresh pepermint leaf and bready grains. The finish was tart and puckering, yet dry and sweet. Definitly a sipping beer; very different, good and orignal.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2009 Bottled Red with a pinkish, maroon-like head. Sourish and fruity aroma. Rather sweet flavour with blackberries and some cedar.

Interesting. Pours deep ruby red, with about an inch of foamy head. The head remained about a quarter inch for the entire session. The flavor was sort of like drinking a beer flavored sweet and sour pomegranate shake. It definitely was more like a cider than a beer. Not bad, but I dont think Id have it again, especially for the price.

Purple Haze colour and aroma had hints of Black Currant. I am not a huge fan of Lambic or other fruity style beers, but I did have higher expectations for this one, which I tasted at my favorite Belgium beer bar in Geneva. The front-end was too sweet and the finish was too sour for me to enjoy...so, I gave it to my wife who has served with me as a long thime CAMRA member and she left this quote in our beer diary, "If its beer you want, if you order this youve taken the wrong turn..."

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2007 A 750 ml bottle costing $9.45 at the North Coast Coop in Eureka, CA. This was the last of the four Lindemans Lambic and was the most difficult to rate. Poured a beautiful almost purple color with a head of the same color that lasted a long time and left wonderful lacing. Big nose of cherry and a touch of yeast. A feast for the eyes. Thick and rich, with remarkable smoothness. Flavor is very potent and I suppose is currents, but is a little odd to me. . Mouthfeel rich like all the Lamics. A ourch of tartness is there, but generally this is very sweet and almost overwhelmlming in its favors. My least favorite of all the lambics. But still not bad and very interesting to drink.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2007 Pours a purple color with light purple head. Aroma is slight funk, black currant, must, old barn smell and yeast. Taste is much the same but this was much more enjoyable than then Lindemans Kriek. Not as overtly sweet. Easy drinking and exceptionally tasty.

Bright purple-red color--pinkish purplish, frothy, bubbly head. Sweet-and-sour cherry-like aroma with some musty, woody elements. Cherries and sour grapes dominate the flavor profile. Pretty overwhelmingly sweet and somewhat one-dimensional. Not bad, but not something thats worth going back to again and again. I felt like I was drinking a fizzy sour grape juice, which is pretty good, but not an ideal trait in the world of Lambics.

Perfect purple color with blue tinted head. Aroma is somewhat stale but keeps a solid nose of black berry scent. The flavor, however, has gone very sour and is to tart for me to enjoy. Finished the bottle but thats cuz i paid ten bills for this bottle.

] Pours a lightly cloudy rust-ruby color, topped by a ring of light pink foam that lasts throughout. Decent lacing. Interesting strong fruity aroma of currants, raspberry candy, and beet juice. The flavor is somewhat similar to the aroma, but a little more candied, with no beets. Medium body, adequate carbonation. Even though the underlying beer and lambic flavors are covered by tangy fruit and sweet fruit, this beer is tasty and enjoyable. Then again, I like fruit wines and melomels.

Pours maroon with a pink head of foam. This lambic had an intense bitter aroma and taste from some sort of berry.
