Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Great desert beer but not too sweet like some of the other fruit lambics. Best enjoyed in the fall.

Pinkish brown body, highly carbonated, and with a fluffy, cotton candi pink head. Lovely bouquet of currants wafts from the glass. Sweet, sugary currant on the palate that has a Kool-Aid quality to it. Saccharine, but tasty--like currant pixie stix.

TomHendriksen (1018) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2017
Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een cassis kleurig bier met een rood schuim. Het heeft een caddis smaak, lekker maar weinig met bier te maken.

Ascelja (1899) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 21, 2017
Bottle. Deep red to pink small pink head. Aroma of blackcurrant, apples, sugar. Taste is heavy sweet and sour. Blackcurrant and sugar, sugarcane. Light to medium body, a bit watery, moderately carbonated.
A bit empty flavor.

Rotin (1907) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 18, 2017
Bottle 0.375l. Lightly cloudy, red colored. AROMA- very pleasant, black currant, wooden barrel, aged character. FLAVOR- moderately sour, lightly sweet, black currant, sugar, touch of cardboard. Light to medium bodied.
Quite good, but somewhat empty.

Nikokaoja (416) - Ljubljana, SLOVENIA - DEC 13, 2017
13. 12. 2017, Ljubljana. Bottled. Nic aroma. Dark red/brown colour with decent reddish head with mild retention. Taste is balanced between black currant and just a hint of bitterness. Aftertaste is nice, lasting. Lightbodied with sparkly, lively med carb.

Ktwse (5686) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2017
Pours deep burgundy with low pink to purple head. Aroma of black currant, blackberries, a bit of blueberries, very berry sweet! Taste is sweet, almond icing and berries, light berry tart in the background, but mostly sweet. Quite enjoyable, if way too sweet. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

serch_kaiba (37) - - NOV 19, 2017
Scura con riflessi violacei. Schiuma tendente al rosa. Profumi fruttati (frutti di bosco e agrumi). In bocca l'apertura è dolce e aspra allo stesso tempo. Acida solo sul finale. Diversa dalle lambic classiche, ottima per avvicinarsi allo stile.

Grumbo (4296) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2017
Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours very dark red with a pink/red lasting head. Aroma of sweet blackcurrants, with a sour edge. Light sweetness, medium sour, very slight saltiness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Sweeter finish.

tranzzik (90) - Sieradz, POLAND - NOV 3, 2017
25cl bottle. Pours dark ruby with a medium sized pink head. Aroma of straight up black currant, quite intensive. Tastes alot like the fruit, with a decent amount of sweetness and a sour finish. Medium body and carbonation with no bitterness.
