Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Bomber in nh from case and keg. Reddish purple pour, fizzy head. Raspberry, grape aroma. Standard fruitiness for this brewery. Currants, grape followed by tart, fruity highly carbonated finish.

Restrained tart aroma in a cloudy red brown pour. Taste is tart to start with a fruity sweetness kicking in later to balance. Not really my style - but a great example of it regardless.

0,25l bottle. Hazy purple colour with small quickly disappearing pink head. Aroma: Cassis jam. The first fruit lambic that has a real fruity aroma, not just bubblegum. Taste: Tarty fruity start with a stronger acidic sour mouthfeel. Has a light bitter tone too. Very fruity and pleasent but the other lambics had more from the typical lambic caracters but they had a more artifical fruity caracter. This tastes quite real. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting sour/dry finish. Very good in the fruity tone but lacks the lambic/beer style.

0.25 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with lovely Anja. Murky light purple, light small pink to off-white head. Strong black currant juice aroma. Strong fruit flavors, overwhelming, topping the sourness, like a good juice. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation, dry fruity finish. More like a juice, than a sour.

25cl bottle at home in Blaendulais as Lindemans Cassis Lambic, 3.5%, BB Aug 2018. Purple reddy, translucent with a foamy hot pink head, leaving full lacing. Aroma is Ribena and blackcurrant cordial. Body is rounded with soft carbonation. Taste is hugely syrupy sweet, tangy sourness, undiluted blackcurrant cordial, intense sugars, tooth-coating. The kriek is also extremely sweet but it seems to work better than this (I had them side-by-side). Not that enjoyable or drinkable. I wonder whether a little age would help it.

From bottle. Pours plumlike, with a limited pink head. Aroma is strongly berries. Body is relatively light, with some carbonation and marked astringency. Taste is very sweet, so much so that it covers almost completely the acidity. The latter is mostly perceivable because of the astringency. Finish is not too long. And more astringency.

Chyba najlepiej zbalansowany lambic od Lindemansa. Posiada średnio wysoką i średnio trwałą pianę, ktra zostawia spory lacing. W aromacie czuć czarną porzeczkę, nuty stajenne i kwasek. Aromat jest intensywny. W smaku natomiast najwięcej dają o sobie znać czarne porzeczki. Piwo jest bardzo słodkie i bardzo kwaśne. Nagazowane wysoko. Mimo wszystko bardzo dobre.

Intense notes of cassis, dark red with a thin head, light body, quite fizzy, good sourness and sweetness at the same time...very good, very refreshing, i appreciate.
