COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

375ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish-purple, with a large crimson-tinged head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is mainly sweet blackcurrant, with some sour notes lurking in the background. To be honest, it smells mainly of Ribena. The taste is, thankfully, much more pleasant. It is quite strongly sour to begin, with some faint woody notes leading into sweetly fruity blackcurrant set against a nicely sour background. The fruitiness of the blackcurrant comes through more strongly in the finish, and there is a pleasantly sour aftertaste. I find fruit lambics can be a bit hit and miss; it really depends on the fruit. Blackcurrant seems to work pretty well with the sourness of the beer itself, although it does rather dominate the aroma. All in all, however, this is a very pleasant beer.

Pours ruby red with a big foamy head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is dominated by black currant with some citrus too. Taste is sour with caramell like sweetness to balance.

Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a deep purple colour with a medium pink head. Aroma of blackcurrant, some sourness and slight tartness. Taste of blackcurrant, some tartness, slight sourness and soft acidity. Light bodied and a slick texture. A sweet and sour blackcurrant finish. Lots of blackcurrant, sweet, sour, slightly tart and like a blackcurrant cheesecake at times. A good lambic.

Piwo wygląda ładnie, Ciemno fioletowy kolor i czapa jaśniejszej piany. W aromacie kwaśne nuty I czarne porzeczki, niestety mało nut brettowych, które wyczuwalne były w krieku. W smaku słabo, bardzo kwaśny sok z czarnej porzeczki. Wytrawne i mocno nagazowane. Ciężko było by mi wypić tego więcej.

Deep red color. Very sweet at first, with a fresh taste of berries, and a light sour finish. Overall very refreshing.

375ml bottle. Dark purple pour. Aroma is kind of funky blackberry. Taste is sour berry up front, lasting tartness, delicious. A little sweet and not complex but I really like it.

Výborné pivo, ochucené o černý rybíz s typickými prvky lambicu. Vytříbená chuť.
