(37.5 cl bottle from Carrefour Marché @ Saint-Cyprien) Pours a clear amber with medium, white head that lasts but doesn’t leave any curtains. Aroma is metallic and tart with notes of stomach acid. Taste is very sour and unpleasant to me. Oily on the palate, medium carbonation with a full, sour body and a sour finish. I had to pour it but it’s most likely because I don’t appreciate the style. Girlfriend says: "it tastes better than it smells but it’s not really very pleasant with this strong sweetness followed by a strong bitterness." cmacklin (1374) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 14, 2014
355 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber colour with a large, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Aroma is sweet and sour with some yeast and malt notes. Very sweet flavour with a sour, yeasty finish. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. EricE (1372) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2009
Very hazy orange-brown pour with a thin white head. Acidic aroma with apple juice notes. Very very sweet syrupy candy flavor. Some tart apples. Bitter with a bit of alcohol on the finish. Very enjoyable. Would make a great desert drink. Rob_D_UK (1366) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 11, 2013
Deep red-amber in colour. Aroma was of sugar, cherries, some caramel. Flavour was sour at first, then sweet, with some caramel and sugar. Finishes with a pleasant sweetness. thebaldwizard (1365) - Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2006
Shared by Sliffy at the last Columbus tasting. Golden brown pour with a light fruity aroma. The palate was medium. Taste was earty, sweet fruit, and a funky aftertaste. Glad I got to try this style.

Dark copper/red/orange, thin white head vanishes immediately. Nose is slightly dominated by the candy - toffee, ripe fruit, hint of peppery sourness. Similar flavours, nice sour hint and good carbonation. Good example of the style, but it’s not my favourite style. veceo (1361) - Pula, CROATIA, - JUN 27, 2014
Hazy deep amber color, small white head. Medium body, soft carbonation. Sugary and fruity aroma. Medium sweet, medium sour taste. Refreshing and somewhat interesting beer. Estebanik (1357) - Lublin, POLAND - AUG 20, 2016
Piana dosc szybko opada do zera. Aromat stajenny, kolokwialnie mówiąc, wali troszkę konskim plackiem. Mhmm, to co beergeecy lubią najbardziej. Lekko rumowy. W smaku dość kwaśne, słodkie, aż szczękają zęby. Zaskakująco rześkie i pijalne, jak na taką słodycz. Wysokie nasycenie. Pić z zatkanym nosem. WheatKing (1351) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - MAY 1, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Alright I won’t lie, this was the first and only faro I’ve had. Hey we’ve got to start somewhere. One of the most extreme flavours to grace my mouth, and not just talking about beer here. The plums and belgian yeast went REALLY well with the candied sugar, and I will definitely continue buying this. I’ll try as many faros as I can, and plan on updating this review in the future. The beer has a nice brown color with a red tint. The color is a bit pale though. There is hardly any foam. The smell (and taste) have been described by my sister as the smell of feces in a zoo. A bitter penetrant aroma. Nasty. The taste is bad too. A unpleasant bitter sweet and sour taste composition. Disappointing, I had high expectations.
