Aroma is fruity and slightly musty. Very light and subtle texture on the tongue with a mild effervescent carbonation. Sweet and sour cherry and raspberry with a crisp light dry finish. Tastes like cranberry juice with seltzer water. Some oak like barrel aging flavors with a hint of unmalted wheat possibly. Sweet beer that would compliment many light meals, but definitely not a session brew..A little too sweet for multiple offerings.

Pleasantly surprised by this. Sweetness in aroma not too dominating. Taste is funky and sour but complexity lost in sweetish aftertaste. Mouthfeel soft but sticky.

Bottle. Brown/tea colour, small off-white head. Aroma mainly apples/cider/calvados. Fizzy. Sweet apple taste. Not at all my cup of tea.

Reddish amber appearance with a small white head and little lacing. Tart apples mix with other fruit in the aroma. Earthy, funky, sour flavors smash up against the inherent sweetness of the style. The sweetness does not become too cloying until the aftertaste, where it lingers longer than desirable. Interesting change of pace from my steady diet of IPAs. Thanks to Sloth for the trade.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2017 pours almost clear dark golden orange with a very small fizzy off-white cap offering little to no retention, or lacing. sweet apricots, pale figs, some caramelized fruitiness, apples for instance, wood barrels - softly bitter tannins; light acidity - some underlying funk; sugar - woodsy candi and powdery stevia; cardboard traces, grass and herbs. moderately low yet prickly carbonation, light body, semi-sweet tart spicy finish. nice faro, not too sweet and preserving a wild character. quite enjoyed this one!

Alcohol, citrus and fruits. Amber and clear, heavy cloying sweetness with medium sourness. Fizzy carbonation. Very good lambic beer.

Bottle with expiry date 22 Nov 2018. Copper colour, clear, no head. Faint aroma, a bit of sauerkraut, brown sugar, green apple. Medium sweet, lightly sour. Medium carbonation. Too sweet, not very interesting.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2017 Pours a very clear copper with a thin white head that manages to leave pretty nice lacing. Nose is of some nice lambic funk with minimal difference from a straight lambic. Taste is much sweeter than straight lambic, though, almost too much if you ask me but not quite. Ive sampled sweeter ones in the past so I guess this one gets a "Pass" rating. There is still some nice lambic behind all that sweetness, though. Browned apples impressions. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Pretty good but Id be hard pressed to say when I would like to drink this in place of a nice gueuze.

Belle faro lambic, moins sucre que ses consoeurs et moins douce que le cidre
