Very INTENSE raspberry aroma, color, flavor, everything raspberries, raspberries, raspberries! Not my favorite fruit, but great if you want to attempt to illustrate the complexity and varieties of beer vs. wine. The sweetness is slightly balanced by the tartness, but it’s still quite sticky and sweet. Interesting though. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - AUG 17, 2006
How this is passed as a lambic is beyond me. This is nearly a soft drink people. You could practically slap a sticker on the front that says CRUSH or someother maker of syrupy sweet soft drinks. Aroma is passable because of it’s fruity aroma. But it’s so over the top fruity it’s just not a lambic. Appearance is dark red with a pinkish foamy head. Mouthfeel is just cloyingly, syrupy sweet. Flavors are akin to something like a malt beverage, there is nothing in the realm of tartness, acidic, funky goodness that makes up true lambics (even fruit lambics can share that characteristic). This is just something that will just break in the people who’ve never had a true lambic and once they have they will realize what a dissappointment this stuff is. The best product Lindeman’s makes is the Cuvee Renee. If you see it, get it because it’s outstanding. sirsirus (60) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 13, 2006
Beautiful distinct raspberry aroma. Headless and actually more akin to soda. Basically this does NOT taste like beer in any way. So if that’s something that bothers you (non-alcoholic taste) just avoid. Because with this stuff you could pound expensive bottle after expensive bottle. wish (14) - California, USA - AUG 10, 2006
mmm i love this stuff. it’s great for the designated driver who wants to taste something refreshing, easy to drink, and low on alcohol. If this was highly alcoholic, it would be extremely dangerous. great to drink anytime. awesome on tap. best flavor Lindemans i’ve tried.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2007 Mmmm this was good and refreshing. Pours a semi dark red with pink head. Aroma of sweet raspberries. Very sweet raspberry flavor with undertones of malt and yeast. Very strong flavor of raspberries, it basically does just taste like a raspberry soda, but its one damn good raspberry soda with alcohol.

Like a sparkling wine with malts added. Intersting complexity but just to sweet.
Might be better with just a few less rasberries mabjork (693) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2006
Bottled. Dark red in colour. Minor white head, It has a sweet raspberry aroma. The flavour is sweet and a bit sour. There is a nice raspberry flavour to it. It has a bit of a dry aftertaste. shigadeyo (3819) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 This is like drinking raspberry flavored soda with alcohol in it! Red and very carbonated. Smells and tastes just like raspberries with a bit of blackberries mixed in. No hint of alcohol taste. A very sweet and refreshing lambic - always a good one to end the night with since it’s so sweet. 0.33 L draught, $5.10 at the Winking Lizard Tavern (Crosswoods).
Also, the Winking Lizard Tavern servers a "Black Raspberry" which is half Guinness and half Lindemans Framboise. Against my better judgement I tried it once before, not so good. I wouldn’t recommend mixing either of those two excellent beers - not with anything else and definitely not together! northernguy29 (18) - Michigan, USA - AUG 4, 2006
Very good, I had it with seasoned rice and chicken over lunch. It’s well balanced and rich in rasberrys. Has a faint malt taste, but covered by a delicious rasberry taste. Good holiday drink for the whole family. gunnfryd (15503) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2006
