Bottled. Red coloured with a pink head. The aroma is totally dominated by raspberrys with notes of wood and sour notes. Acidic flavour dominated by raspberrys with notes of wood. Gets a bit cloying in the end. Fruit lambic for beginners.

Fruit beer alert! Fruit beer alert! Actually, no cause for alarm... Pours deep red with a light pinkish-purple head. Some lacing evident. Smell is overwhelmingly rasperry. Hint of sour yeast smell. Taste is also overwhelmingly raspberries. Very sweet but balanced with a nice tartness. Medium bodied with no aftertaste unless you count that lingering tartness. I like the fruit in my lambics a little more understated than this one but its not bad at all. A good one to share occasionally with my wife after dinner.

On tap @ the Maproom. Sample glass, just a few ounces. Red with pink head. Raspberry aroma with some underlying sourness. The taste is fresh raspberries, both sweet and sour, with a sourish finish that transitions into a raspberry flavor. Great flavor, but not as tart/sour as it should be. Mouthfeel is tart enough to be nice and slightly puckering.

here is the god of raspberrys finest product, the truest possible incarnation of the souls of every raspberry ever grown on the planet. this extravagant little bottle is a chick magnet at brunches-- the champagne-like celebratory nature of every ruby pour will make you forget the price and wish youd bought two. as red as beet juice, as warming as the richest hues of a persian rug, it sizzles into a glass immediately reverberating with its signature raspberry nectar aroma and a tartness so fresh its like being in the berry crushing facility. theres a strong green banana smell as well, which is equally delicious and apropos to breakfast drinks. scarcely a beer with its paucity of typical beer characteristics, and at a dwarfish 2.5 % abv., its barely even an alcoholic beverage at all--so while its suitable to dispense to children, i havent met one id consider worthy. on just a spritz of effervescence, the cranberry tartness washes through the sweetest fruity sorbet, and even in the finish the harmonious effects are wound as prettily and snug as a french braid.

Dark Red in color with light pink head. Smells very strongly of raspberries. high carbonation. Although this beer tastes very good, the strong raspberry flavor is very sweet , and may be too sweet for some. Great beer for drinking with dinner, or after. Not great for drinking more than one or two glasses.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2005 From a bottle. Pours a deep red color with a pink head. The aroma is great. Smells like I just smashed a bunch of raspberries in my hand and sniffed it. Great natural raspberry flavor. Very enjoyable and very sweet. I know that a lot of lambic lovers

Pours a definite red color with small beige head. Aroma of tartness and raspberries. Medium to high carbonation. Almost over the top on the raspberry sweetness (how much raspberry syrup did they use?). This one is nice for a half-pint or so. I prefer it mixed with a stout like Guinness.

Sweet raspberry pastry aroma seems somehow over-produced (like a plastic-wrapped pastry). Clear reddish-brown with shy tan head that recedes to ring with minor lacing. Strong raspberry jam flavour seems overly sweet and juice-like with just a very light tart finish to take the edge off. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Bottle (City Market Burlington, Nov. 2004) sampled with beerbuzzmontreal, ClarkVV, MartinT, muzzlehatch, Olivier, Rastacouere and Simon.

Scarlet rose in color with a resounding, foamy pink head. Aroma is of raspberry Jolly Ranchers. Very fresh smelling. Tastes very sweet and of ripe raspberries. Syrupy and thicker than expected. Mouth watering, sticky finish. My wife liked it.
