UPDATED: NOV 26, 2012 This was good as a treat. Would pair well with strong cheese plate to balance the sweetness, but we tried it with dessert - sweetness overload! Great cherry flavor, nice sour hit on the back end. Cold is a must...not very pleasant as it warmed up. Very champagne-like, light mouthfeel, minimal aftertaste. Wasn’t what I expected - different style for sure. Liked, would drink again, but would use differently.

Corked bottle poured a deep red raspberry hue w/ a small pink head. Bold raspberry aromas. Initial is moderate sweet w/ a light tart finish. Tastes are fresh raspberries. Medium bodied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Framboise and caandy. Appearance: Dark red color with hazy liquid and rocky pink head. Taste: Heavy sweetness with medium sour touch. Palate: Light body with thin texture and average carbonaation. Sweet sour fruity finish. Overall: The sour touch reminds of candy, the framboise is very sweet but well balanceed.

Bardzo ładne, kolor ciemno różowy z dużą pianą w podobnym kolorze. Aromat owocowy, nie zbyt jednak malinowy, dość podobny do krieka z lindemans. W smaku też przyjemnie, ale nic specjalnego. Kwaśne, owocowe, swieze I lekkie. Przyjemnie wypić, ale szału nie ma.

FYI, you know you’re really into gaining points for variety of beers rated when you decide to have your school order lambic for the grad student party so you can rate it but not actually have to drink an entire bottle. Framboise, or raspberry, is obviously nice, but this is basically like drinking a fruity soda or bubbly juice. It tastes like the raspberry version of sparkling apple cider, which is only something for children or pregnant women, or other such people that by preference or design cannot drink alcohol. However, it is very pink and expensive, and it was very popular with young women who don’t want double IPAs everyday. Good for gaining illusory ratebeer points, defrauding your school of funds (jk jk don’t sue me), and being adorable.

It’s like every raspberry in the world came to ferment and then settle in your glass. Which is not that good as raspberry’s tend to be overrated as fruits go. However Lindemans framboise is concentrated and fruity. Sour as you’d expect. Hard to drink being so fruity and thick yet goes well as a session break due to low abv. A worthwhile drink despite the high price tag.
