Breaking the mold among existing beer styles, Lindemans developed the Botanical Lambics, a collection of old gueuzes with a twist. Third in this series, GingerGueuze is based on a blend of 12 month-old lambic with two- to three-year-old lambic, fermented in oak with fresh ginger. Bottle-conditioned, GingerGueuze has a golden color and combines the sourness of lambic with the subtle flavors of fresh ginger. Ideal as an aperitif, it is also perfect for food paring.

Fine but good white hed, fed by finely carbonated yellow-golden beer. Nose is a combination of flowery/blossoms and ginger, unmistakably. Hint of acid, farmyard, horseblanket. Ginger, tad pharmaceutical but going over in a nice citric/lemony sourness. Wood, Japanese preserved sushiginger. Tricky, but the balance succeeded. Very mild lactic acid. Titillating carbonation & acidity. Light acidthinning, some wheatslickness. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but this IS a success. 8/4/84/17

Bottle, courtesy of DerA. Pours cloudy hay-yellow with a medium head. Aroma is ginger, stable dunk, dissolved fizzy sour tabs. Body is light and fresh, simple and straight. Fizzy carbonation etc, yet little ginger flavours. Some hints of it towards the palate, also becomes spicy after enough sips. Dry palate, a bit chalky. Good and refreshing, yet rather simple.

Bottle in the dining room.
Pours a hazy blonde color with a big head and lots of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is a really cool balance of fresh ginger and lemon, it's got plenty of funk and earthiness too but the ginger and fruit character really take center stage.

The flavor is very dry and tart, sort of the inverse of the aroma... in that it tastes like a tart and lightly fruity Gueuze with a light but complimentary ginger spiciness throughout. The ginger character is really nice and when mixed with the acidity it really recalls old school ginger sodas (i.e. Blenheims, Fentimans, etc) Really tasty and better than I had expected.

Corked bottle. Golden color. Ginger, orange and lemon in the aroma. Sour flavor, citric, orange sweeties, quite gingery and estery, especially in the finish. I don’t like ginger, but this isn’t too dominant. Good beer.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2018 Shared with Wim and Bart at Wim's place. Amber colored beer with small white head and medium carbonation. Spiced aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sour spiced fruited.

750ml bottle - shared by martjoobolut - thanks! (6:3:6:4:13=3.2)
Hazy, pale. Leaf coriander aroma, which with a swirl comes out more as celery, along with some nice tartness. Ginger comes out only later. Some minty chalky aspects, and something a bit off-putting in the taste. Does have a nice gueuze base, but the ginger adds nothing, and if anything it subtracts by making this more like a kids' fizzy pop.

VsXsV (4624) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2018
Bottle. Light hazy deep golden liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of lemon, red apples, ginger, light wood and light grain. Taste is dry and light to medium sour with notes of apples, lemons and ginger. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Great stuff!

Hop_Hedonist (705) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 15, 2018
Bottle - a bit disappointing as the ginger is overpowering - no finesse - very two dimensional - minimal sourness - quite sweet (too much so) - not a lot else to it. Pity.
