Bottle, 12/22/2013. Pours hazy golden orange, fizzy head dies to the surface, decent lacing built up around the glass. Aroma is moderately sweet for a geuze, with pear, apple flesh, yet middle is satisfying barnyard notes, damp, mild funk and wood. Taste is tart green apple and tropical notes, brett, mild farmyard coming through, touch of oak, lemon bitterness. Light body, effervescent but not quite crisp. Pretty tasty.

375 ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark golden with a large frothy quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of wet leather, cooked meat, old vinegar. Light to medium body with a lively carbonation. The taste is heavily sour and acidic with light bitter notes in the finish. Flavors of unripe green apples, citric acidity faint hints of raspberry, with a dry finish.

Hay aroma, ugly foam but nice carbonation in the mouth. Not too sour, not too bitter. Nothing exceptional.

Zapach słomiany, lekko kwaśny. W smaku jest kwasowość, siano, lekko wytrawna goryczka, dosyć kwaśny posmak.Nieco wodnista struktura. Wszystkie smaki mogłyby być lepiej ułożone, ale pije się dość przyjemnie.

Pours clear amber with a large white head. Very lively. Aroma is grass and funk. Taste is citrus bitter, funk, mouldy cheese, sweaty socks.

Złoto-bursztynowe, zamglone, ładna piana i lacing.

It is cloudy golden and very highly carbonated. It is true to the champagne-like mouthfeel they claim. Good beer, but just okay for a gueze. Bottle from co-op.

Aparycja szampana, spore nagazowanie. Aromaty końskiej derki, stajni, leśne. Wszystko czego można się spodziewać. Czuć taką owocowość, cierpkość, dość kwaśne, posmaki szampana.

Bottle shared with ebone1988 for the Koleminer20 turns 3k and Ebone1988 turns 1.6k Bonanza. 750 mL bottle, 2011 vintage. The pour is a darker golden orange with a thicker white head that falls slowly leaving a good bit of lace. The aroma is strange. there is a funkiness about it, but the back end is all full of sweet sugary young lambic. It’s not that good at all. Could be worse. The flavor is not good. There is a light sourness to start, but then it gets funky and an orange rind just takes over. It’s bitter and dry, light citrus, without a lot of sour or funk. This is not good. The mouth feel is a little syrupy with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly dry and bitter citrus rind. I’m not feeling this at all. It’s definitely not a gueuze, that’s for sure.

Bottle shared with koleminer20 for the Koleminer20 Turns 3k and Ebone1988 turns 1.6k Bonanza. 2011 vintage. Aroma is funk, tart, barnyard, bitter, slight sour, slight sweet. Appearance is darker amber, light brush head, hazy. Taste is orange peel. Minerals, Maybe. Some funk, some tart, but mostly just dry orange rind. Bitter. Not good. Mouthfeel is incredibly dry. Light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, dry citrus rind aftertaste. Overall, this is a really bad example for the style.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy gold with yeast particles floating around and a large, fluffy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet, sour aroma of green apple, orange, lemon, grapefruit, vinegar and horse blanket. Sweet, acidic flavour of grapefruit, lemon, orange, green apple, vinegar, dust and wheat with a dry, sour, white wine like finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Nice.
