2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
375ml bottle poured into tulip. Pours a rather pure golden with some finger-thick head. Aroma is faint barnyard, green apples, some faint malt base and cider vinegar. Taste is really not the best I’ve had the chance to witness in a geuze or any type of sour ale, generally speaking...Very, very tart. Upon drinking it you soon notice that those green apple aromas are like...interrupted. You can perceive the apple’s tartness but then no sugar content at all...and it then fades away into not much. Mouthfeel is pretty watery with average carbo. Pretty long acidic aftertaste. Overall this is pretty weak compared to a Cantillon gueuze bio, for example, which is so way more complex...this is not "champagne" at all. I had medium-high expectations for this but it was a huge disappointment (especially at 13.99 $ a bottle at le St-Bock). I just wonder if I had a bad bottle, reading the rave reviews this brew had...
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2018 37,5cl bottle. Clear light amber with a quickly fading white head. Some funk, lots of crisp green apples, some oak, minerals, underripe peach skin. Good, but lacks complexity to make it great. jnitka (101) - Gdańsk, POLAND - JAN 16, 2018
Aroma full of grapes and citrus, slight minerals a bit earthy and oaky. Only slightly funky. Tastes fresh, a bit tart with some lemon zest, slight acidity and dry leathery finish. bergstaden (3327) - Røros, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2018

Bottle. Cloudy apricot pour with a big white head. Aroma is funky, a little earthy, with a hint of citrus. Taste is tart and funky with a little sweetness, some citrus zest and fruity notes, very flavourful yet dry and zesty.

Sur la bouteille, on dit que le gout est aigrelet? C'est aigrelet. Ratebeer indique que ça ressemble un peu au champagne. C'est plutôt du mousseux. Bref c'est original mais pas entièrement mon truc. Mpuntmuts (370) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 11, 2017
Clear golden orange pour without any head. Aroma is fruity, apricot, orange, grapes along with basement yeast, barn, cider, vinegar. Good tart sour taste, hardly bitter and softly sweet. Thinnish champagne like mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Lovely!!! mikkelmoller (1) - - DEC 10, 2017 does not count
Denne type øl er slet ikke mig , bitter og tør som en dårlig mousserende vin .

375ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes, shared with friends. Warm golden body under a slowly dissipating pearl white head. Dotted spots on the glass. Dry and mid-tart aroma, minerals and farmyard. Wood, cheese and mid-tart flavours. Lightly tart and dry to the ending. Rather suitable as a partner to my lutefisk dish. 375ml bottle from Brewdog Doghouse, Glasgow:
Quite a fresh & crisp beer from the start, it was lively with some nice tart & funky flavours kicking things off alongside plenty of citrus & a few subtle spices. Further on there was some lighter fruits with apples, grapes & pears all featuring at points before some acidity seen things out. It was a balanced & easy-going offering that I enjoyed & would definitely have again.
