4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a straw-colored yellow/golden hue, with an ample white head. The nose shows decided Brettanomyces character, along with a less aggressive level of acidity. As the sample opens up, a musty note also comes through, perhaps from the corked packaging. Together, the combination is utter and absolutely pleasing. The palate shows a lactic tart note up front, followed by some pleasing grassy/hay/farmhouse Brett character, and an absolutely bone-dry finish. The melange of pleasing flavors and aromas is outstanding. Carbonation is assertive, but not overly so, supporting the aromas and flavors, rather than detracting from them. The finish is nicely tart, leathery, and dry. Overall, an outstanding example of the style, even if it is widely available.
37.5 l bottle serve cool in a tasting tulip at home. Hazy brown with a white head fading to a skim. Tart apple and lemon barley aroma. Funky dry cider, lactic blue cheese, more tart apple and marmite licked of a knife flavour Woody notes, dry as a bone finish. Complex, one is enough though. lesifflebiere (1874) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 21, 2017
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 23E). Bottle 37.5 cl (bottled on 14.JUL.2016 - BBF 14.JUL.2022). AROMA: medium sour aroma with medium-high barnyard, goaty and horsey. low fruitiness (citrus). faint oak note. APPEARANCE: golden color and clear. medium white head, moussy, with medium-high retention. TASTE: medium sour flavor with citric notes and barnyard characteristics. faint cork flavor and oak notes. slight malt sweetness on the background (almost faint). sourness in place of bitterness. PALATE: medium-light to light body with a tartaric character. medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a very nice Gueuze a bit balanced to the sourness. Barea (21) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUN 18, 2017
Bottle from 100 piv. Tartness in aroma, yeast, green apple, spice. small white head, falling very fast. Hazy golden color. Very dry beer as I like from lambics, high carbonation. Citrus fruit sourness, taste a lot as a champagne, little bit of green apple as aftertaste. I really enjoyed this piece. Derbeth (921) - Kraków, POLAND - JUN 16, 2017

Clear golden, almost no head. Aroma is fruity and tarty, with white grapes, apple vinegar. Taste is very sour, but refreshing and pleasant. Lime juice, acidic tartiness, sour herbs. Very nice sour! MatChar (53) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2017
Bottle. Appearance: almost clear blonde, with subtle golden reflections, almost copper, thin lace with nice fine effervescence. Smell: slight wood, white grappes, almost notes of green apples. Taste: juicy lemon notes, leather, champagne aromas, mid-sourness, subtle carbonation contributes to great texture and feel. Overall: one of the best introduction to style, reasonable price, nicely balanced and highly enjoyable gueuze. Frudel (252) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2017
355ml bottle. Dark hazy orange, white head diminishing letting only a ring around the glass. Nose is alot or herbal, basilic? Lambic, not wow, funky, spontaneous fermentation, tartness. Taste is light acidity, dry, aftertaste that doesn’t last very long. Winy texture, fizzy on tongue. antsaluga (140) - Kraków, POLAND - JUN 5, 2017
375ml bottle. Slightly hazy amber body with a low white head. Acidic, citrus, barnyard, green apples, wood. Overall rather tasty but a bit thin and easygoing imo.
