F: thin, pink, quick gone. C: dark red, clear. A: a lot of cherries, hint of grenadine, lemon. T: cherries, light lemon, hint of woody, bit funky, taste is better than the artificial aroma, light to medium body, medium carbonation, not bad but still quite sweet, 25cl bottle from Delhaize Chazal @ Schaerbeek in Brussels.

Clear ruby, pretty pink head. Nose is cherry compote and bitter almond. Taste is sweet and sour cherry, body is a little watery. Good.

Bottle. Clear red wine color. Cherry bubblegum and marzipan in the nose, sweet sugary taste that’s balanced by fresh tartness and cherry. Medium body, lively fizz and mellow sour aftertaste.

Served from bottle into glass at home. Pours ruby red with large startling pink head that genuinely looks like cotton candy. First aroma after removing the cork is bright sour and acidity, like red wine vinegar. That aroma fades very quickly after pouring, replaced by a very strong cherry smell, like cherry pie filling. No hop or malt aroma is detectable. The flavor is even more cherry upfront, with a mild barnyard funk and sour acidity in the back, very reminiscent of the freshly uncorked aroma. Sweet finish with no hop flavor or bitterness detectable. Surprisingly full bodied with medium carbonation. Overall this beer is interesting. I had read that Lindemans fruited lambics were too sweet or overly artificial tasting, and while I do agree it is rather sweet and the cherry flavor could be interpreted by some as medicinal, neither are so egregious as to make the beer unenjoyable. The sweetness pairs well with the sour and cherry flavor to produce an effect similar to eating fresh tart cherries. The underlying barnyard and horse blanket flavors and aromas that peak out suggest a legitimate lambic component to the beer, very similar to Lindemans Oude Gueuze Cuvee Rene. In summary, this may be too sweet and overly fruited to be a traditional kriek, but it is still a complex and enjoyable brew.

Totally decent. Some sourness, a lot of cherries. Feels like a slighly sour cherry soda.

Czerwone, klarowne, bez piany.

Distant sourness too much overwhelmed by the sweet cherries. Taste is well balanced and natural but way too sweet.

Bottiglia.
