My Bottom Line:
Slick toasted caramel and earthy orange fruitiness meet in this deep Festbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the clear amber.
-Malt flavors are superbly round and expressive. The brewery’s signature, clearly.
-Drinkability is rather high for the style.
-If they have a Bock based on this recipe, I’m sure it would be amazing.

Bottle.

Bottle at the brewery tap. Vollbier but sweeter stronger good brown beers. Some decent hop on the finish. Decent enough. Good hops. Clean.

wow, this one is quite a surprise. fairly heavy on the dark malt appearance but not a strong smell, some green apple which gives way to freshly baked bread, mouthfeel is amazingly drinkable with perfect carbonation, finishes in mild hoppiness mixed with dry caramel aroma. Would have again.

Bottle. Light herbal, grassy, mineral/rostig Darkest amber, off white white. Chewy, fermenting fruity, hay, grains, a hint oxygen, medium body, roast dry, caramel/sugar, ok hop counterpoint, quitter finish..

Bottle. Reddish dark amber color with white head. Aroma is toffee, butterscotch, some diac. Taste is butterscotch, some off fruit flavours (but not in a bad way), rusty, mineralic finish. Oily mouthfeel. Fun - after warming up a bit, it does develop a heavy diacetyl flavour, though.

Clear ruby/brown with little white head. Aroma is crackery malts, some fruhtgummi, wood, some dried fruit. Taste is slightly spicy with lots of roast bittersweetness. Medium heavy, good to drink, roasty on the tongue. Really nice.
