My Bottom Line:
Raisins and phenols meet wood and syrupy sweetness in this sugary Dunkel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam tops the gleaming copper.
-Some glue is found in the nose.
-Mouthfeel is smooth and aimed at high drinkability.
-There are very few dark malts in here...
-This one tastes a bit like the Hell with some Sinamar added for color and a touch of ‘darker’ flavour.

On tap at the brewery pub.

On tap at the brewery. Clear mid brown colour lasting beige head. Aroma of the apricot and pear on the aroma . Then in the flavour it’s got an unexpected maple syrup flavour with some sweet biscuit. Decent but the maple syrup is ok but sweetish.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty, light roasty. Light earthy notes. Some dry-spicy notes. Finish could be more balanced. Still okay.

50cl bottle. Pours clear dark amber colour with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, red fruits. Taste of toasted malt, nuts, caramel, some red fruits, nice!

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 1, 2014
bottle picked up in bayreuth. copperish with a thin head; tinned peach aroma suggesting not at its freshest; still, some pleasant citric tang and silo floor aftertaste

Erzengel (9329) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 2, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2014 Im Geruch sehr schön frisch malzig-hopfig.

Mild herber Antrunk, angenehme Malzigkeit. Aufkommende Karamellnoten, spritzig, Herren, etwas nussig. Die Karamellnoten steigen, würzig, gut. 12/12/12/12//12

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2011
From tap at the brewpub. It’s a beautiful, red-brown beer with a creamy and lasting head. The aroma is mild/weak with notes of malt and light syrup. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, light syrup and malt. The finish is dry. A bit on the weak side.

From the Bottle at Plan B, Copenhagen 09/05/2010 Malt aroma. Bronze coloured smooth and slightly sweet on the palate with a sweet honey flavour and a hint of dryness in a bready malt finish.
