In bocca è un po’ sporca e leggermente sbilanciata, ancora una nota etilica fastidiosa che ne compromette la beva. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours cloudy amber with an orang hue and thick white head. The aroma is rich, bitter - sweet, sticky orange, peach, candied fruit peel, pine, marzipan and brioche. The taste is dry, very bitter, pine needles, resinous, green, grassy hops, mild astringency, bitter orange, kumquat and grapefruit with a very drying and bitter finish. Keg at mother Kelly’s. A hazed dark orange amber coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is sweet orange rind, peach melba juicy, peach. Flavour is composed of semi sweet Base malts, orange rind, peach melba, little bubble gum, juicy, dry grains. Palate is semi sweet sticky resinous. Intense tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, pine, grain malts in the background. Hazy brown, medium, creamy, off-white head. Medium bitter. Overripe tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, pine, grapefruit, soft carbonation, medium bodied, very bitter and dry finish. Very nice IPA, great aroma and palate. Keg at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green. Nice malty bitter. Aroma malty, some esters. Taste likewise malty, but more bitter-hop oriented. Easily drinkable. Solid malty brew, but saying "strong bitter" to me more than "WC IPA". Finish dry and bitter.
Cask at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is cloudy golden with small bubbly white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops and malts. Biertaster (4) - CARDIFF, WALES - JAN 11, 2017 does not count
The dry hopped IPA is pale gold in colour with plenty of dry hopped haze and produces a small white head, made up of fairly large bubbles which settles fairly quickly.
Its big on hop aromas, offering really refreshing fleshy fruit like white peach with hits of orange and citrus. There also exists a sweetness too.
The aroma is different to any IPA I’ve tried recently.
Where the aroma is more relaxed, the flavour is anything but. Big fruity flavours of grapefruit and orange hits you from the hops whilst the malts help to balance the flavour between the sweet and dry. A lasting and noticeable bitterness carries you to the finish.
A medium bodied and smooth IPA with a low carbonation level and really juicy.
