On tap at Barley Works. Beautiful clear honey brown colour. No real aroma to speak of. Has a mild pumpkin taste; it is a little weaker than I would like. Nice, but not the best pumpkin ale I’ve had this week. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 26, 2010
[3480-20101114] Tap. Mildly toasted pumpkin flesh aroma. Clear, golden amber body with a big long-lasting creamy head. More pumpkin in the flavour but much more pronounced. Medium body. Nice, not in the mood for it but would try it again.

On tap at the brewery, amber-orange color, with a beige head, nice spicy all spice, toasted, biscuity malt nose with some sweet spiced fruity pumpkin skin accents and a good gingerbread aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasted, biscuity, caramel malt , spicy character of strong spiced nutmeg, clove, cinnamon flavour and with some mild candyish spiced pumpkin skin undertones, and gingerbread cookie notes, leading towards a fruity, spicy, allspice, faint lingering hoppy, roasty bitterness finish. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 23, 2010
2010-11-14. Dark amber brown body good sized beige head. Flavour is fairly spicy, lightly bitter finish with a slightly sharper spice character. Lingering spice in the aftertaste is nice. Mild pumpkiny undertones. Pleasant aroma, modest spice and mild supportive malt. Smooth average plus palate. Enjoyable. At the brewpub- Taps a slightly hazy deep orange topped with a frothy, but short lived off white froth. The aroma is a pleasant mix of spices (nutmeg, allspice, some cardamon) with slight pumpkin and caramel malts. Tasted of aforementioned spices with a cinnamon sweetness, a bit of pumpkin cake, leading to caramel and a decent hop bite towards the end. Well balanced, and quite drinkable. Possible the best all around pumpkin ale I have had to date.....and I wasn’t expecting to find it at the Lion.

On tap at the brewpub. Light t medium orange pour, small white head. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin pie spice and some nutmeg/cinnamon. Good taste - clean lager body with spices added, well balanced. House yeast still present, but does not detract. I really enjoyed this simple well made pumpkin ale and was thrilled to find it on tap. Nice job. Spab (4081) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2008
Draught at the Barley Works pub. Pours a clear orange-amber with a medium, disappearing white head. Mild, but pleasant aroma of pumpkin and spice. Taste of malts with slight pumpkin and spice. Biscuity finish. Light body, almost watery. barncatmatt (2355) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 16, 2008
on tap. served a slightly hazed copper in a frozen mug (damn every time i come here i plan on asking for the brew not to be served in one of these). mild spice aromas over pale malt aromas. flavours are typical of their regular offerings with some pumpkin pie spice added. i really didnt get alot of actual pumpkin in this one but the pumpkin spice was nice. this ale is not all that different from other offerings from this brewpub but this is still an enjoyable seasonal brew. pootzboy (1804) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2010 On tap for Oktoberfest.
Taps a darker clear copper-amber color with a smallish cap that laces well.
Demure aroma spices, grains light pumpkin muskiness.
Subtle flavor profile both spices and pumpkin not over stated but well balanced/integrated with the amber ale character...Malty body accented with spices and golding hops, mellow herbaceous-eathy middle and clean sharp finish with a spicy-biscuit aftertaste.
>>>>>>>>> Update 30/10/10 This 2010 release is the best yet...addition of some Munich malts and roasting the pumpkin give it a shimmering orange-red hue...lightly hazed.....rich creamy cap lasts forever and laces the glass. Spices are present but don’t dominate...lots of roast pumpkin mustiness, rich caramunich and biscuit malts, decent hop bite in the finish....best pumpkin beer out there....fresh, balanced drinkable.
