I asked for a case of Lion stout, and instead was given a case of Lager. I took it as an omen and decided to keep it instead. Big mistake on my part. There isnt anything exceptional about this beer at all. It isnt awful, but its just boring. I definitely had trouble drinking more than one of them in a sitting.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2017 Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium white head, nose is grassy and grainy with some musty, cardboardish notes, taste is plain sweetish malty with a strange spicy, phenolic pinch and a medium dry finish, carbonation is quite high.

325ml bottle from a friend, ABV 4.8%. Clear golden, a few bubbles in the glass. Medium size white head, some lacing. Sweet grainy and malty aroma, bread and grass. Light bodied, medium carbonation, watery mouthfeel. Grainy taste, metallic notes and bread dough. Lacks bitterness.

Grain and cereal malts, light bread, molasses, light metallic. Clear gold, medium frothy, white head. Light sweet. More grain and bread malts, medium caramel, lively carbonation, medium bodied, sweet, molasses and caramel in the finish. Actually not a bad Lager (for the Sri Lankan heat). Sri Lankan brewed bottle (ie not one of these awful cans from Laos) at Grand Indian, Nuwara Elyia.

A kind of weird, muddy taste thats different to figure out. Some hops, wood and hay, medium bitterness. Overall a very confusing beer, which is not awful, but not really good either.

Bottle. Clear pale golden colour. Sweetish aroma of malt and rice. Taste is sweet, some caramel and honey and hop notes. A bit too sweet for my lager taste. Light body, medium carbonation. Not bad but not exactly worth a trip to Sri Lanka for the beer alone either.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. Kindly given by my dad. A clear golden orange beer ; medium bubbly ; medium white head with a medium retention. Cereal, biscuit note, herbal note. Light to medium sweet, light dry bitter refreshing. Light body, thin texture, average to soft carbonation, sweet herbal finish. Overall, deceiving ; light character, lightly refreshing ; beautiful label.
