Odeurs d' épices douces, raisins secs, fruits de la passion. En bouche pas très gazeuse... Avec un goût assez plat je ne serait pas trop l'identifier...

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2016 Bottled 625ml. Appearance: It pours a fully golden beer with a decent average sized white head. Nice lacework. Aroma: Grapes, white bread, cork, nutmeg, apples and rice. Flavor and palate: Rice, apricots, cork, apples and grapes showing up. Champagne-like. The alcohol is very well hidden. Some lemongrass sneaking in? Medium to full bodied. Pepper appearing with the swallow. Huge amounts of grapes, apples and white bread in the finish. Overall impression: A pleasant surprise. This beer is underrated in my opinion. Staying with the initial rating. Really quite enjoyable.

Butelka na Sri Lance. Kolor jasnozłoty, klarowny, piana duża ale niezbyt trwała. Aromat karmelu i słodu.Smak lekko korzenny, trochę owoców.Bardzo dobre wykończenie, trochę alkoholu i mocnych przypraw.

Can shared late-night at RBWG 2016 - many thanks to JackL. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Simple bread, fresh malts and cereal in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with notes of rotting apple, orange, cereal, damp grains, alcohol. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with more raw malt, cereal, booze. Solid malt liquor.

Another beer I tried at the 3rd Cotteridge Tasting on 20th May 2017. Cheers Mrs Scopey for this offering. The can gave up a clean and clear golden bodied liquid which produced a small white head as it settled. The aroma and taste were malty, grainy and pretty sweet from start to finish. My sweet tooth taking to it instantly. The beer was actually a lot better than I expected for a ’tramp juice’.

Review: Bottle of Lion Strong Lager 8.80% ABV A Gold medal winner in 2012 from the Monde Selection, the Michelin Guide version of beer, the lager came in some pretty impressive imagery, the bottle showing a very intimidating lion face. I guess signifying strength and prowess. Perhaps his name is Cecil? Pour we have a dark golden colour, with a nice sized white head that dissipates quick enough, leaving pretty good lacing . Looks decent, like a proper beer. Got a very fruity aroma, an apple and a lot of sweet smelling malts. The smell was quite strong, all that fruit! For a lager that is 8.8%, it was very well hidden, not feeling the true strength at all. There is a very fruity taste to this beer, very overpowering. The taste lingers in the mouth, very sweet with a good grain taste. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Interesting beer alright, could actually be a decent session beer considering the ABV. as it was very easy to drink. I had four of them, and was fine! (I think!).
