Fairly foul like chicken. And like a forty they only sell these things in large bottles. Had a bottle of this in a Colonial looking bar in Kandy.

0,33l can, courtesy of my friend, many many thanks, Pours crystal clear golden liquid, medium white soapy head, fell down quickly, Aroma: malty, grainy, syrup sweet, Taste: grainy, corn syrup, chemical bitter, alcohol, harsh, solvent like, Palate: medium to heavy body, average carbonation, oily sticky mouthfeel, long syrup grainy solvent aftertaste, Overall: did not enjoyed as a beer, awful, enjoyed as a beer from a distatant country, completing my tasting beer map with a new Asian country.

Cotteridge Convention III – May 2017 - Can shared at Cotts. Big thanks! As ’Lion Strong Beer’, 8.8%. Golden yellow, clear and still, foamy light brown head. Aroma is apple, cracker malts, sugary. Body is light, tingly carbonation, frothy. Taste is spicy, cracker-like malts, rounded malts, some apple, touch of booze. Very drinkable. Good for the style. (5-4-5-3-13=3.0)

A: Dark yellow with a small-medium white head. N: Lots of malt sweetness T: Still a fair amount of sweetness, but not enough to make the beer seem heavy. Bitterness takes a back seat. P: Medium O: Not overly complex, but deceptively easy drinking. A couple of these and you’ll be on your ear.

Another beer I tried at the 3rd Cotteridge Tasting on 20th May 2017. Cheers Mrs Scopey for this offering. The can gave up a clean and clear golden bodied liquid which produced a small white head as it settled. The aroma and taste were malty, grainy and pretty sweet from start to finish. My sweet tooth taking to it instantly. The beer was actually a lot better than I expected for a ’tramp juice’.

Can at Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, white bread, cornbread and white sugar. The taste is smooth, white bread, cornbread, sugary, straw and a decent hit of alcohol. Finish is sweetish and chewy. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Drinks pretty smooth considering.
