Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

1l bottle from the brewery. The beer starts malty-smooth. Not too sweetish, nice bittered. Earthy, hints of roast. Nice bitter-dark malty aftertaste, very dry there. Roasted dark bread, still easy to drink due to remaining hints of sweetness. Round and nice! oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 28, 2012
Bottled (from Bierzwerg.de, as Thomansen Export Dunkel, best before was about a year ago...). Deep murky brown colour with a mediumsized beige head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is roasted malts, mild coffee, some caramel and mild toffee. Also mildly ashy notes. Flavour is richly roasted old coffee with some caramel, mild toast and toffee as well. Quite a strange "Dunkel" compared to other German dunkels. But yet a rather pleasant brew. fonefan (49999) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2009
