On tap @ Liquid Riot.

Appearance: Clear bright golden with a small fully lasting white head and some lacing.

Aroma: Pils malt, herbal presence, mild citrusy hops and honeyed notes.

Taste: Slightly sweet with herbal notes, citrusy presence, honeyed notes and berries. Mild bitterness.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Fluffy mouthfeel. Herbal finish.

Overall: I enjoyed it a lot more than my tasting partners. The pils malt is definitely quite presence, but I didn’t thought it was disturbing at all. I didn’t get much of the New Zealand hops though. And it’s definitely not an authentic rendition, but I liked it nonetheless. Drinkable and quenching with a nice fluffy mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear pale gold pour with thin white head. Aroma is really tropical, hoppiness is a bit off, rotten fruit, malt is honey and floral. Taste is sweet, too much fruity flavor, honey malt. Palate is nice smooth, silky light carbonation.

Northeast Bucket List Trip Beer #71. Keg at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden with a medium sized frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready, doughy malt, snappy tropical, citrus hops. The taste is tropical fruits and bready malt. Medium bodied, crisp, well balanced.

Pours a light straw color with two fingers of thick white foam. Crusty bread, zesty spicy hops, crisp clean mouthfeel, perfect carbonation and a long lingering bitterness. Pretty much the perfect pilz !

On tap at the source. comes to the table a lightly hazy medium straw color with a smallish off white head. Smells of bready pilsner malt with a fair amount of spice earthy hops to back it up. Light fruity aromas add a hint of complexity. The flavor is sweet bready malt with spicy hop flavors to counter. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet smooth mouthfeel. Nice pilsner with a NZ hop twist to it. I really should have started with this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
