Draft at Listermann. Pours dark brown with a medium sized beige head. the aroma is roasted malts and dark chocolate with resiny and grapefruit hops. Flavor has a hefty dose of roasted malts and dark chocolate as a base. The hops give this a resiny and grapefruit citrus bite. Good bitterness from the hops through the finish. This is a nice local Black IPA (well its the only local Black IPA). Itzjerm (2871) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Nice well balanced double black IPA. Sweet with slight bitterness. Enjoyed at the homebrew shop. Very enjoyable like most there products. Tmoney99 (14502) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Draft. Poured black color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and hop aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good complex beer.
