Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma is peanut butter right away with some sweet chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is also peanut butter up front with the roasted malts dominating on the finish. Prufrockstar (2259) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - AUG 14, 2016
Draft at Listermann (7/10/16). Deep brown pour, small khaki head. Big nutty nose - smells like salted peanut butter. Floral, a little sweet, plenty of roast. Chalky texture. nimbleprop (8750) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 22, 2016
12oz bottle pours a watery, deep brown with plenty of filmy, off white head. Nose is dusty, some peanut shells, dark flour, toast, bread, malt. Flavor has some sweetness, malt and a little dark brown sugar, light nuts, most pastey than buttery, a little licorice. Finishes watery. I’ve had better. PartyFowle (954) - - APR 21, 2016
Bottle. Thin milk chocolate hue darkening to near-black in the glass; fuzzy tan cap. Dry peanut butter powder in the nose, in front of sugary dark grapes and subtle burnt toast. Flavor turns down the PB and ups the J, bringing them closer to balance (though the nuts are still more prominent). Finishes with the flavor of weak coffee, which isn’t helped at all by the watery body. Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 15, 2016
12oz bottle from IG trade. Pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of peanut butter powder, dark malts, earth, and a hint of vanilla. Taste mimics the nose with a earthy bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of peanut butter with a bit of chocolate supporting and a touch of dark grains. Flavor is very peanut butter forward with a touch of chocolate and some dark grains underlying. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 26, 2015
draft that poured a dark brown with mocha head. interesting to say the least. but you get roaste malts and plenty of peanut butter in the nose and not just like a reese’s cup but real peanut butter there is some slight chocolate as well in the nose but its mild. the flavor was more of the same lots of roasted malts and peanut butter very good indeed. like how well they blended this together without going overboard..

12 ounce bottle, no date on the bottle that I could find. A friend of mine got this for me when he went to Cincinnati recently. Served in a snifter (as recommended on the bottle), the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch light tan head. Head retention is good, but there isn’t much lacing at all. Aroma is nice, it smells just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup! Lots of peanut butter and chocolate! Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some roasted malt, coffee and bitterness noticeable. It smells more like a Reese’s Cup than it tastes. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating with moderate carbonation. I liked this a lot, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to try this one again sometime. Deep brown, nearly black poor with fluffy/creamy toffee colored head. Big peanut butter presence in both aroma and flavor. Something about it tastes fake though. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t altogether dig it either. A bit thin, would have liked it to be chewier. jhp40219 (449) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 21, 2015
12 oz bottle. Bours a dark brown to black with a large khaki head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Taste is heavy on the peanut butter up front with a nice amount of milk chocolate, nuttiness and toasted malts backing it. Somewhat of a bitter taste coming through, not sure if it’s the hops or something else. Medium bodied, slick and slightly oily texture, moderate carbonation, long finish. Good for the style, but not quite on the same level as Terrapin’s Liquid Bliss - which is pretty much the gold standard for peanut butter porters. Definitely worth your time and money though.
