COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Little Creatures “Bright” is a top fermented uniquely new Australian ale. As the name suggests, “Bright” is a filtered beer with a striking golden clarity in the glass. We use 4 luscious malts including Pale, Carapils, Wheat and Vienna. The beer is full flavoured whilst soft and easy on the palate making it very approachable. The alcohol is 4.5% alc/vol. Bitterness is slightly lower than our highly charged Pale Ale and is accentuated enough to balance the smooth, malty character. The hop characteristics in “Bright” is derived from the use of highly aromatic New Zealand B Saaz Flowers as well as varieties from the North West of USA. Clean, distinctive, full-flavoured, smooth and very more-ish!!

Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 26, 2012
Bright yellow and clear with a white head that didn’t hang around. Aromas of lovely sweet grape juice, brioche and golden malt. I have to say, it smells good enough to drink. More bitter at the start and then a lovely flow of sweet, lemony juiciness followed by a hint tangy bitterness. Not a lot for big bitter beer fans, but a tasty session quaffer nontheless.

Pint bottle. Poured the promised ’bright’ golden colour with a ready, yeasty aroma. The taste is very different, with fruity hops dominating. Just what fruit is hard to pin down, but it has a bit of stone-fruit about it. Finishes dry but short. Decent light ale, but I’ve had better.

tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - DEC 12, 2011
Tap @ Little Creatures Dining Hall, Melbourne. Pours clear deep golden with a small off white head leaving nice lace. Aroma is fruity, sweet, malty, bisquity and has some honey touch. Flavor is much like aroma, well bittered which is very nice. Finishes with a good bitter aftertaste.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma has fruity pear, floral notes and a hint of honey. Sweet and fruity flavour, uite clean. Slightly bitter finish

Disclaimer - best by date was about 18 months before I tried. Damnit if I didn’t notice that at the store. Nonetheless, here goes the review. Pours a golden yellow with white head and floaty sediment towards the end of the pour (don’t think that is supposed to be there). Smell is like a slight old pilsner. A little funky saazz hops, actually pretty nice to be honest. The taste is where the wheels start to come off. Has the the reminents of the saaz, but not in a good way. A little too sour and funky with some offputting aftertaste. I probably would have liked this because of the pilsner like aspects, but can’t go very high. Stupid store

Bright gold colour, with hay and citrus on the nose. Creamy and a little sweet on the palate, but with good crispness. Not hugely complex, but right up my street.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear light medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, fruity, light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20110731]

330ml bottle, best before November 2011. Clear gold with a thin white head and decenr condition. Slightly sherbety fruit aroma. More citric on the palate. Clean and easygoing. Pleasant enough but nothing spectacular.
