Pours a crystal clear amber brown with a firm beige head. One of the most visually appealing beers that I have seen. Signature American hop aroma of Little Creatures, with a stronger malt profile than most of their other brews. Roasty chocolate malt flavour, sweet malt, bitter chocolate and fruity hops. Very light body that makes this beer very sessionable. I would have liked a little more malt complexity however. Just feels it’s lacking something that could make this great fletchfighters (1553) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 13, 2012
A-- Aggressive pour got me a medium butterscotch color. Pour got a massive off white head that finally settled down to just under one finger. Lots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Decent head retention with this.
S-- Smells a lot like the Pale ale, just a bit sweeter though. Chocolate and roasted malts hide the LCPA smell more. Still has a floral and fruity nose (I get some mango).
T-- Ok, a Pale Ale with roasted malts and sweet chocolate. Different. Far more bitter than I expected. Might be more bitter than the IPA they did a few months ago.
M-- Chocolate drops off very quickly and get a lot of citrus in the mouth. Grapefruit, lemon and Orange. Just touches of sweetness in this. Wish it had more malt sweetness. Finishes clean and crisp and with a sweet citrus finish. Spot on carbonation and lower medium bodied.

Nice amber browny color on pour. Great tasting beer well balanced with hops and malts. Need to try this one again. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 11, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2012 Pours an amber red with a very large slightly off white head. Aromas of sweet malts, nuts, chocolate and your typical creatures hoppiness. Flavours of sweet malts with a big floral hop backing. Very hoppy for a brown ale but adds to the drinkability. Pretty happy with this one angryrobot (32) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 2, 2010
great beer, light-brown / dark-amber colour, big malt and big hop in aroma. flavour is dark malts, and fruity hops, with a big yet well balanced bitter-sweet finish.

500ml bottle. Pours a chocolatey brown colour with a flat even sand coloured head. Sweet chocolate aromas blended together with malt and hops. Flavour is smooth and light on the palate but leaves a lingering pleasant aftertaste. Another fine effort from Little Creatures. FlyingWombat (21) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 18, 2010
Poured from 568ml (pint) bottle into tulip glass, amber-brown colour with big, frothy off-white head, leaves good lacing. Soft malty aroma with classic Little Creatures hoppiness. Taste is indeed a very "Little Creatures" style, with the classic hop hit of the Little Creatures Pale Ale in a soft malty texture. Medium body and carbonation. This beer is very drinkable and sessionable. bmeup (680) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - SEP 10, 2010
Kind of unusual ’Brown Ale’ and another jem from LCB. Well hopped and malty. Worth it but never rate beer on price anyway. Dredd (969) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - SEP 10, 2010
Excellent beer, pour is chestnut brown with thin tan head. Aroma that is a mix of citrus and spice. Flavour is great, upfront light malt that moves in to a great mix of breadiness citrus and persistant bitter finish. Pyobon (1481) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 4, 2010
Bottle. Clear brown with small head. Nice aroma with a mix of malts and hops. Medium body and carbonation. The flavour has a floral hop and tangy start with a rich and hoppy fairly bitter finish. Overall it’s a very nice beer, although it’s an unusual brown ale with plenty of hops.
