Cracking looking beer, beautiful dark amber colouring, with a biege head and a moderate carbonation. Aroma is a sweet barley. Smooth to the taste, and leaves a sour aftertaste. If it has a bad note, it is very, VEY bitter on the after taste. Mjollnir (414) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUL 28, 2010
568mL bottle. Pours dark golden brown with a small off white head that leaves some lacing. Aromas of caramel, grass and citrus. Low sweetness, low bitterness, some hop flavours. Light-medium bodied, soft-medium carbonation and a bit starchy in the finish. mattyhennessy (376) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - AUG 1, 2014
Pours a crystal clear amber brown with a firm beige head. One of the most visually appealing beers that I have seen. Signature American hop aroma of Little Creatures, with a stronger malt profile than most of their other brews. Roasty chocolate malt flavour, sweet malt, bitter chocolate and fruity hops. Very light body that makes this beer very sessionable. I would have liked a little more malt complexity however. Just feels it’s lacking something that could make this great Threepwood (107) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 14, 2010
Not a laid back as an English and not as hop crazy as an American, this is a really nice interpretation of a Brown that I’d love to see them take mainstream. RyansRatings (43) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 20, 2010
Pours a perfect deep onion brown colour, with ample off white foam. Gently carbonated, but that’s about all an Ale should be. The nose shows sweet & spicy hops, clean as a whistle. The palate is initially opulent and obscenely malty, before a reasonably bitter kick towards the back. Fantastic style & execution. The best beer I’ve had from this brewery.

great beer, light-brown / dark-amber colour, big malt and big hop in aroma. flavour is dark malts, and fruity hops, with a big yet well balanced bitter-sweet finish. filiy (28) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2011
Nice amber browny color on pour. Great tasting beer well balanced with hops and malts. Need to try this one again. whiterabbit (28) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2010
Not my favourite brew from Little Creatures. Pours dark brown (as you would expect woth this variety) with quickly dissapearing head. Sweet aroma with nice bitterness up front with a smooth finish.
Good example of a brown ale. FlyingWombat (21) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 18, 2010
Poured from 568ml (pint) bottle into tulip glass, amber-brown colour with big, frothy off-white head, leaves good lacing. Soft malty aroma with classic Little Creatures hoppiness. Taste is indeed a very "Little Creatures" style, with the classic hop hit of the Little Creatures Pale Ale in a soft malty texture. Medium body and carbonation. This beer is very drinkable and sessionable. grantw (18) - , AUSTRALIA - AUG 24, 2010
Nice aroma, and generally agreeable flavours over a relatively thin body, but a nice beer halfway between the english northern brown ales and the american brown ale styles.
