Pours a cloudy copper with next to no head. Aromas of a sweetened allspice. Tastes of candied sugar followed by alcohol and a mild lasting buttery bitterness. Best enjoyed in a dark room listening to the crackle of an old Pink Floyd record. Theodopilos (68) - - JUN 5, 2013
Picked up 2 bottles from dan murphys in June 2012, poured into a snifter glass, spicy aromas, a great tasting beer considering it’s 2 months past the best before date, a beautiful after taste too, cheers M_Sack (720) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - APR 24, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2017 Nose of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Deep copper with frothy head. Minimal carbonation. Yeasty front palate with clove and hints of banana leading into malt, molasses and the spice present on the nose. Some gentle, but nicely bitter hops linger, although the cinnamon and nutmeg remain delicately intertwined with the hops. Delicious beer. Massive at 8.9% and perhaps best to share although the alcohol is not immediately obvious. stoutnick (842) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 15, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 Definitely not one of my favourites from the Single Batch series. Spicy festive beer. Not super interesting, but definitely sessionable. deanso (10136) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 30, 2012
50cl bottle courtesy of a friend.
Thin off white head. Clear amber pour. Nice aftertaste.

Growler at Mane Liquor. Pours red amber with a small white head which lingers and leaves good lacing. Nose lingers with spice and stewed fruits. Loads of nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, sweet and candied fruits. Taste is rather sweet and lacks balance. The spices are there with hints of citrus. Ok attempt jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 16, 2012
Firkin at the sail and anchor with cascade hops. Nose full of nutmeg, cinnamon and biscuit. Taste has lots of spicyness to it from the cinnamon and a sugary nutmeg finish. Cascade hops are quite pleasant. Paired with Choc dipped strawberries thanks to the sail. Pretty cool stuff bmeup (679) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2012
Dans, Deep red and clear with a thin lasting head. Caramel malt hint of mild chocolate, spices, cinnamon and fruit and lots happening here. Best a little warm. 8.9% not noticed. Interesting beer. theodorereg (28) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2012
Pours brown and little head. Rich sweetness with a sharp bitter after tang.
Never thought of spices but I suppose there is that taste. Delicious actually and very filling fletchfighters (1529) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 28, 2012
A-- Pours a nice looking, darker orange amber color. Quite clear. Half finger of off white head. Pretty much sticks at half finger. Nice ring of lacing and very visible alcohol legs with this. Good start to this.
S-- Good nose. Nutmeg, clove, orange, cinnamon, stewed, candied dark fruits. Very much Christmas spices and sugar. Pretty much spot on for the style.
T-- Nutmeg, clove, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and orange. Slightly thin in spots but holds up decently. Not as bold as the smell is.
M-- Body lacks a lot to back up the spices. Quite thin and watery in the mouth and all there is are the spices to carry this. Alcohol is very restrained though. Has a bit of a sherry quality to it. Finishes quite dry with a bit of a orange and cinnamon stick finish. Does develop a bit of a harsh bitterness as drinking on that does hinder the spices and gets sickly sweet as well.
O-- Good looking, good smelling but a bit thin in the body and falls apart half to three quarters through. Very rough finish. A bummer as just do not see Winter Warmers down here. Obviously more of a Northern Hemisphere deal really. Would only do in small doses as one of my favorite styles that are just not that available here.
