Don’t see a lot of "red" in the flavour but this is a well made and taunt IPA. Hoppy but not aggressive and very good balance. All points to high session value. ShaneJ (903) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2013
Bottle from Plonk. Dark reddish-amber, grapefruit, tropical fruit, piney hop bitterness, sweet bready malt. Nice. varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 14, 2013
Red-amber pour with a decent off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, passionfruit, and musk sticks? Taste is big citrus up front, bitter, which gives way to sweet malty goodness. Don’t mind this one at all. Niksko (635) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 3, 2013
Pours a beautiful red color with two fingers of foamy off white head. I could smell this as soon as I poured it. Hoppy nose, but the hops are backed by considerable malt sweetness which gives it a tropical fruit punch aroma. There’s mango, banana and a hint of sweetness. Flavours are hoppy but balanced. More tropical fruit on the palate, a bit of banana and a very clean finish. This bottle is a little old by now, so I feel like the hops have probably faded. Regardless, this is a well balanced and flavoursome beer.
