Sample at the taproom. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates steadily to a dense film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild resiny hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

JStax (6505) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma has some pepper notes, light carrot cake nuances, some caramel. Medium sweetness and a moderate funk as well. Finishes mostly sweet, but I kept thinking throughout that this might have inherited some bugs somewhere along the way. Medium body and medium carbonation.
