375 mL bottle poured, with much thanks to JStax for sending this over. Always fun to try a top 50 beer in a style. Gushing bottle, a golden yellow pour. Thick, active, long lasting head. Citrus fruit like aroma, and quite tart. Surprised this is classified as a fruit beer, and not a wild, based on aroma and flavor combined. Floral and funk flavors up front. A semi juicy fruit secondary. Tart, and a nice level of it. Really impressed with this one. luttonm (7086) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 20, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Thanks Andrew. Tall soapy white foam after a gushing bottle (but, they warned us about it!) Cloudy pale gold. Lovely and inviting tart fruit and yeast. Some grapefruit character. Body is a little rounder than I expected. Floral honey. Soft fruity finish. Very interesting with a harsher lime zest finish.
Travlr (26948) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 3, 2017
Bottle courtesy of JStax, thanks! Gusher. Cloudy golden yellow color. Aroma of dusty stone fruit. Taste is earthy fruity peppery dusty fruit. Brett has been pretty active in this one. phaleslu (10969) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 28, 2017
375 ml bottle from JStax - thanks, Jeremy, despite being my sworn (or unaware) enemy in the race for #pawpaw cred. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that settles into a ring and film. Gushed a little bit. Notes of pear, custard, lemon, vanilla, yogurt, dough, funk, herbs, straw, and grass. Light-medium bodied, with a funky, tart, mostly dry mouthfeel. Good stuff. Love the paw paw in this context.

Bottle - pours gold white head - nose and taste of wine, funk, oak, tropical fruits, lightly soured paw fruits - medium body. JaBier (8445) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 6, 2017
Bottle purchased at Crafted Drafts. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, funk, citrus and tropical fruits. Malty and herbal flavor with big funk before a tart citrus and tropical fruit finish. bluejacket74 (1996) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2017
12.7 ounce bottle, bottled on 11/18/16. Label says 7.1% ABV. Served in a Prairie Artisan Ales Teku, the beer pours a hazy gold color with about an inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like apricot, pear, pawpaw, funk, grainy malt and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some bubblegum, wood and melon flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of soft carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, but that’s not a surprise because pretty much everything I’ve had from Little Fish has been good. I don’t know why people don’t talk about this brewery more. They’ve been putting out some nice brews for a while now. Definitely recommend this one! I know I’ll pick up anything new I see from them. $7.99 a bottle. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 16, 2017
On tap at Little Fish 11/4/2016. Pours a golden-orange color with white head. Pear, yeasty, straw aromas. Pear, fruity, yeasty, melon flavors. Paw Paw! Good Stuff! JStax (7396) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2016
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a hazed yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma has notes of creamy fruit and some low level funky notes. Some mild herbs, mellow fruity notes. Subtle sweetness throughout. Medium body and soft carbonation. Velvety mouthfeel. Really nice.
