Tap at the Slip, York. Very sweet, slightly smoky. Translucent (when it settles) and dark. Persistent head. Alcohol is too prominent.
Bottle from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Dark red with a small bubbly head. Not a bad ’weizen’ for a non-German, mainly ale brewer (although I believe the head brewer is from an adjacent country). There’s a dark-fruit sweetness to this ale with an underlying roasted character. It fizzes a little in the palate. imdownthepub (15160) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2013
Bottled, 500ml from Tesco, Uttoxeter, Staffs. Dark brown with off white head. Initially fairly sweet, fruity with a vague strawberry and blackberry flavour this is followed by a sweet grainy note, some roasted qualities, licorice plus a very light smoked hint. Not bad overall really. dogbomb (1244) - ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2012
Cask. Dark murky brown with an offwhite head. Smells of vanilla maltiness. Taste is vanilla, chocolate and bags of wheat. Quite sweet but lots of body and a semi-dry bitter finish. fonefan (50756) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2011

Pigs Ear Festival, Hackney. Smooth and a touch smoky. No bitterness and no fruit. Drinkable.
Cask Handpump at the Crown & Kettle, Manchester 19/01/2008
Slightly rich wheaty aroma. Dark coloured and a little hazy in appearance with some bitterness in a crisp wheat finish. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2008
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Said to be a "dark wheat" beer, this is actually a bit of a shocker. Colour is murky copper. Aroma is sweet with a hint of pencil shavings. Taste is rather watery with some ill-defined sweet fruitiness, slight bitterness, and a singular lack of wheaty traits. bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2008
Gravity cask at Watford beer fest. Dark and cloudy with an off white head. Fairly sweet for style but earthy and wholesome. KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 14, 2007
Cask at Pig’s Ear BF.
A rather sweet dark wheat beer. Too sticky, it’s all sugar and bananas.
