500ml bottle conditioned: BB Feb 18. Drank at a friends house on 4th July 17. Dark amber/brown body, decent white topping. Smouldering Peat Bog sort of a beer, thought it OK but I am not a smokey sort of guy.

Bottle of Suma Blackstone Organic Moor Ale from Cambells, Leyburn, North Yorkshire. Dark brown in colour with a thick white head. It has a rich smoked peat, iodine and chocolate flavour followed by ginger, malt and more iodine on the finish. Unusual and pretty good.

Not sure if this was in best condition, the smoke influence didn’t really add much to the beer, and for its abv, it lacked a real character .

Bottle. Nose is caramel, slight toffee, red berries slight brown sugar. Taste is malt, biscuit leading to light smoke and caramel and red berries in the slightly herbal finish with a touch of metallic. Mouthfeel a little thin. This is a decent bitter.

[email protected], oulu. Dark reddish. Slight sweet raisinous malty nose, some vinousness. Lightish well carb’d body. Plummy, overripe fruits, some tarryness, guess that’s the smoke. Ok.. Sort of.

Bottle. Deep Amber, not much of a head. Has a fine medium peat smoked character and a slight sweetness.
