Light brown IPA.Powerful floral, minty and grassy aroma with a straw like colour and long bitter finish. Original IPA (stronger and very hoppy). This beer will easily survive a long journey to India.

Cask pint. Very much an old school IPA, actually far more powerful than the stronger American style ones I’d had early on in the session. Big juicy potency, almost overpowering sweetness, also a herbal thing going on. Pours pale with white head. Wavering between a 12 and a 13, but I’m going 13 just because I like the style.

Bottle. Orange IPA body with a steady medium tall head. Soft hoppy aroma with some red apples and sour citric fruits. Smooth mouthfeel with ripe red apples and orange juice in taste. Pretty sweet and fruity, not piney at all. Finish has a nicely balanced bitterness that doesn’t override the sweet and fruity body. At times it feels like drinking orange juice (in a good way). Rather good, it seems to be underrated here.

0.5l pullo, BBE sep-2017. Tummankuparinen väri, ok vaahtoava joka jää huterasti reunoille. Maltaisen sammunut mutta oudon raikkaahko tuoksu, maku tunkkaisehko, outo, vetisen laimea mutta karvas mallasfiilis. OK, mutta ei mun juttu.

Bottle. Slightly hazy light Golden color, small tan head. Hoppy taste, but not a lot of neither fruit or bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.

AshtonMcCobb (6608) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2016
Bottle from Old Shambles Tavern in York. Appearance - deep amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - hint of red fruit. Lightly grassy. Taste - toffee with green apples. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - pretty good.

A medium IPA. Not too much IPA in it though. Hop is very vague. Smell too. Also not very bitter compared to most IPAs. Malt profile is missing a little power.

Flaske 500ml fra Alko Kolari. Fortært på rom 311, Saltfjellet turiststasjon 19 Jun 15. Gyldenbrun. Middels høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Svakt uklar. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Plommer. Smaken svakt søtlig frukt. Blir litt tørr etter hvert. Avslutter veldig tørt & bittert. En del bunnfall. Uklar siste kvelling. KI=4.

50cl bottle at Viking XPRS in Finnish waters. Pours hazy golden brown with off-white head. Fairly fruity and somewhat malty with notes of canned peaches, hints of citrus, grass and herbs. Medium to moderate sweet with with a certain bitterness. Feels a bit messy, not to interesting, but still fairly drinkable.
