BCA from Bitter Virtue. Similar to the Cragg Vale bitter but with less malt flavour and a little bit of yeastiness. OK no real fault just not very good.

Bottle at Appellation tasting. Pale clear golden. Nose is citrus, lemon. Tastes grainy, bitter citrus, earthy, quite fizzy. rauchbier (3956) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2016
Bottle conditioned, from Morrison’s. Faintly hazy straw gold, fluffy and sustained white head and persistent condition.. Muted lemon citrus and floral hops mixed with sweet graininess in the nose, initially sweet and lightly spicy in the mouth before a little citrus kicks in followed by a bitter and chalky yeastiness that coats the mouth, finish is mostly dominated by the yeast bitterness but a little citrus and fruity spice manages to grab the attention briefly. Still very drinkable though.

500ml bottle conditioned: drank at home on 11th Sep 2015. Poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve. Straw blonde with a slight haze, on top a full white blanket of foam. Could have been a chill haze because I think I over cooled it. Not a lot going on in the nose or flavourings, refreshing enough, but lacks oomph and depth for a 5% ABV ale. Mild, or subtle hop presence depending on your stance, just a bit bland for me.
