COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The clean, dry lagers of Vienna provide inspiration for our Big Bark Amber Lager. European malted barley lends it a soft body with a depth of malty richness and aroma. Small additions of noble hops gently balance characteristics of the malt. Cold fermentation and conditioning assure a beer with a clean finish, showcasing the interplay of the malt and hops. A beer of fine malt character and subtle hop nuance, it is accessible, smooth, and satisfying.

Draft pour at Backspin in Austin. Pours golden amber with a soapy white head that fades to a collar with webby lacing. Aroma is muted- malt, bread, not much more. Flavor is clean and refreshing, with some maltiness and a crisp finish. Light mouthfeel and mild palate. Enjoyable and easy to drink but isn't impressive.

Pint on tap. Light honey color, good lacing, head bubbles down to a collar. Nice aroma, malty goodness. Taste is very good for the style, light, and drinkable. It probably wont win many awards, but its a consistent, sessionable vienna lager with a lot of character.

On draft at The Flying Saucer in San Antonio, TX. The beer is amber hued with a half inch of head. Aromas of lager yeast, light fruity character, a touch of bread / grain. Fresh, really smooth on the palate and well balanced. Easy to drink and enjoy. Refreshing on a warm summer day. I sat outside and alternated between this and Live Oak Hefe, both tasty brews. Definitely above average for the style. I normally dont enjoy amber lagers this much. I would definitely have this again.

Medium amber body, thin off-white head, traces of lacing. Crackery and grainy malts, some caramel, light floral hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, a bit muddled. Not Live Oaks best.

~12 oz draft at the Craft and Growler in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear amber with a small egg white head. The aroma is faint, what is there is malt, cracker, and straw. Clean, just muted nose. The taste is big cracker malt, mineral earth, straw, and finishes with hay. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, and an earthy straw herbal finish. Clean and tasty.

valpoaj (741) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Tap - poured reddish brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is mostly malty, hint of dark fruit, floral notes, slightly yeasty. Flavor is basic, but enjoyable with sweet malt the name of the game - hint of dark fruit here as well. Palate is medium bodied. Unremarkable, but not offensive in the least.

draft. filtered amber body, small off-white head. cookie dough maris otter malt nose with touches of dough / yeast and little apparent hop aroma. medium bodied and sweet with medium-low smooth and creamy carbonation. decent malt base here, very smooth and creamy texture-wise; low hop bitterness; medium sweet malt comes off as very generic other than faint hints of baked biscuit and bread and dough from the maris. mostly clean and seems pretty solid on first pass: good texture, not too sweet, focused malt presentation and a clean profile throughout.
