COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The clean, dry lagers of Vienna provide inspiration for our Big Bark Amber Lager. European malted barley lends it a soft body with a depth of malty richness and aroma. Small additions of noble hops gently balance characteristics of the malt. Cold fermentation and conditioning assure a beer with a clean finish, showcasing the interplay of the malt and hops. A beer of fine malt character and subtle hop nuance, it is accessible, smooth, and satisfying.

On tap at Vickery Park in Plano. Amber color with a nice amount of white head. Bready and caramel malt aromas - flavor is the same with a bit of a hop bite. Above average lager.

Had this at the Live Oak 2010 Anniversary party (be cause I’ve never officially reviewed it before). Wow, has my palate matured since I had this last. Very soapy character, sweet, amber mediocrity. Nothing much else to say from memory.

To me this is their "middle of the road" brew. But at least they know how to drive in style. It is a tad too non- offensive, but I think that is te idea - to get a beer out there that will grab the crowd that doesn't go for an IPA. Nicely balanced with plenty of flavor and balance.

mmmbeer (1427) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 8, 2007
Pint glass at Opal Devine’s- very little head, aroma of malt, perfect amber color in appearance. Hits the mouth with a medium body, a note of sweetness to start, hops on the middle and finish, which is mildly bitter and frank. A beer that made me crave a smoke while I drank it, which is very hard to do! Bottle and sell it damn it!

2.5
dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JAN 21, 2011
Draft at the Gingerman Plano. This beer pours a medium amber with a thin off white head. The aromas are bread, musk and a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel is slightly sticky with a light bitterness and medium body. An average beer at best.

Pleasant and floral smell, crisp taste. Seemed a bit hoppy for a lager. Interesting but not special.

crajun (1257) - , Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2012
on tap at Whisky Cake in Plano; I can’t smell anything in a bar/restr. light color pour; nice mouthfeel/palate for style - kinda sticky; solid brew
