COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The clean, dry lagers of Vienna provide inspiration for our Big Bark Amber Lager. European malted barley lends it a soft body with a depth of malty richness and aroma. Small additions of noble hops gently balance characteristics of the malt. Cold fermentation and conditioning assure a beer with a clean finish, showcasing the interplay of the malt and hops. A beer of fine malt character and subtle hop nuance, it is accessible, smooth, and satisfying.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Has an amber/orange color with a medium white head. Has a good balance of hop and malt on the nose. Good lacing on the glass. The taste is a very smooth tangerine and a bitter finish. Enjoyed this one.

On tap at the Addison Flying Saucer. The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get quite a bit of toffee, but I also get some bread and a little bit of grape. The flavor is more of the same, with a lot of toffee and bready malt as well as a little bit of pine and grass from the hops. I also get a little bit of grape in the flavor as well. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On tap at Vickery Park in Plano. Amber color with a nice amount of white head. Bready and caramel malt aromas - flavor is the same with a bit of a hop bite. Above average lager.

~12 oz draft at the Craft and Growler in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear amber with a small egg white head. The aroma is faint, what is there is malt, cracker, and straw. Clean, just muted nose. The taste is big cracker malt, mineral earth, straw, and finishes with hay. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, and an earthy straw herbal finish. Clean and tasty.

Pint on tap. Light honey color, good lacing, head bubbles down to a collar. Nice aroma, malty goodness. Taste is very good for the style, light, and drinkable. It probably won’t win many awards, but it’s a consistent, sessionable vienna lager with a lot of character.

Pleasant and floral smell, crisp taste. Seemed a bit hoppy for a lager. Interesting but not special.

cloudy orange color with a very thin head giving off aromas of apple and grass, tailed off with bits of caramel. flavor was sweet and apple filled, almost like a cider, but with a nice caramel back and a bit of grassy hops. very smooth and sweet. a perfect session beer, i could have drank this all day.

Draught at Flying Saucer, Addison TX
Hazy amber color. Some caramel aroma. Good body strength, some malt, sweet caramel, enough hopping. Correctly brewed

On draft at Shady Grove. Nice example of a style that I’m admittedly not that fond of. Amber color, hoppier than I expected, which is a good thing (for me). Nice for outdoors on a warm evening.

Draft @ Brickskeller. Pours a clear orange color; thick, creamy white head with great retention and glistening lacing that coats the glass; great pour. Very fruity, spritzy aroma: raspberries (surprisingly), red fruits, light maltiness; fruity and lightly hopped. Light carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: red fruits, touches of pitty raspberries / raspberry syrup, and some basic candy maltiness; undercarbonated and underhopped, at least for what I’d like to see from an amber / vienna. Medium finish: toasty malts, red fruits, and wet malts; quite toasty end.
