UPDATED: APR 28, 2013 Tap at Home Slice in Austin. Pours a cloudy light orange color with almost no head. Can’t smell anything due to allergies but the taste is citrusy with notes of banana. Not what I expect from a hefe. Odd but unique in its own way. Solid beer but not my fave.

Can. Hazy yellow straw pour. Some white foam on top. Nose has cloves, bananas, feels nicely spicy. Even more cloves in taste, yeasty and a bit spicy. Super nice weizen. Grainy malt-forward finish, leaves good grainy linger.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2017 Can into a snifter showing well filtered orangish yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows pronounced notes of banana and bubble gum. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Dry but pronounced flavors of banana and bubble gum throughout with more on the finish.

Can from my man Justin, carried back from TX. Lemony wheat nose, cloves and apricots. Cloudy pastel yellow with lace. Rich whaet flavor, clove, light banana, orange, stone fruit. Rather oily, very low carbonation. Almost flat. Nicely spicy finish. Seems a bit old, but don’t see a date. Tasty, though not up there with the best, imo.

This is my favorite Hefe, my favorite wheat, and one of my most favorite beers I've ever tried. Its drinkable, refreshing, and yet has robust sweet flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Is this the best American hefe? If not, I’d love to try the ones above it. Very straight forward German hefe- no gimmicky flavors. Straight banana and clove in perfectly balanced bunches. Nice thick white head on a muddy body with an almost Guinness like creamyness and mouth feel. Medium carbonation with a soft finish. Almost perfect. Not surprisingly, it’s better on tap, but excellent any way you can get your hands on it.

Can, pours a hazy golden with small white head. Heavy banana, potpourri, Belgian yeast, cloves, coriander and other heavy handed spices. I guess I don’t like hefeweizens if this is one of the best out there. It’s over the top perfume
