COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With about 6.0% ABV, this one will surely warm the ol gullet during a cold central Texas winter - both days! Our India Pale Ale (IPA) is light in color and strong in hop character. Dry hopping with Cascade hops, gives this winter favorite a delicious citrus note reminiscent of a Texas Ruby Red. Yes, its warming but you dont need to be huddled around the furnace to enjoy this one! IPA fans really love this ale during a beautiful Texas winter on the porch or indoors. Available December - April.

Mostly clear orange copper pour. Medium white head with good lacing. Lots of citrus in the aroma. Some floral notes to it too. Flavor is also heavy with grapefruit and other citrus flavors. Mild malt caramel sweetness. Clean finish. Not very bitter or dry. ---Rated via iPhone

Nice resin and citrus aroma. Not super intense but pleasant. Super clear with a white head that fades a but fast. Nice malt flavor, lots citrus hop flavor, and just a bit of bitterness for balance. Good beer that feels a bit more pale ale than ipa.

Too bad the brewery needs to pander to the IPA crowd. Stick to the great German beers.

Hazy gold white head. Crisp hop bite follows the citrus aroma. Finishes pretty clean. Fit my mood well at the moment

At Meddlesome Moth, Dallas. Seemed more like a Pale than an IPA. Not as earthy and hoppy as I generally prefer. Medium bodied. Not terribly memorable.

Draft @ The League Kitchen & Tavern, Austin, TX. 22 oz mug. Cloudy gold/ orange colored beer with lasting frothy head. Some lacing. Smell is a nice bold floral hops with tones of pine. Bitterness was long lasting with a big floral presence.

Body is medium with a nice bone dry texture. This paired really well with my homemade burger and fries. Truly a nice bone dry IPA. Enjoyable.

Pint at Shady Grove. Pours cloudy orange with a small head. Aroma is grassy, caramelly, with weird rubber-hose type notes. This actually smells and tastes a lot like the last pale ale I made. Curious to dig on the recipe and see whats going on. The flavor is decent, grassy citrusy hops on a sweet malt base. Its got that same rubber/bandage type quality, though not egregious. Its not quite as hoppy as your standard American IPA.

On tap. Pours a clear amber gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of citrus with a touch of resin and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has sweet citrus with a bit of bitterness and a grain backbone.

Tap at BJs in Austin, TX June 2014. Pours bright orange with a fluffy white head and some sparse lacing. nose is sort of dull and mutted. some signiture citrus in there mostly cascade grapefruit and some off-notes (not really diacytl, but something is bad here). flavors are pretty mutted as well, mostly signiture cascade grapefruit rinds and some bitterness. pretty dull ipa however, i dont think this was fresh.

On tap at Yard House Houston. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a finger thick, dense, off-white head. Some curtains. Mostly hoppy aroma, like dipping your nose into a bag of citrusy American hops. Some pale wort too. Its almost full bodied, quite dry, and with a nice carbonation level. Bitter, hoppy flavor with some malty notes in the back. Lasting bitter finish. A pretty pleasant one, although tasting too much like wort, excluding the sweetness. 131112
