On draft at Waller Creek. Pours dark orange with a small white blanket of head. Nutmeg, oak, dry leaves. Light sweetness. Lighter than average mouthfeel for style. Dry finish. lownote (585) - Austin, Alabama, USA - OCT 29, 2015
Has a really weird flavor at the end that’s reminiscent of artificial sweetner. Good look and mouthfeel. ttoadee (1491) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 14, 2015
Copper pour, no head. Nose is malt.. Bittersweet. Middle is slightly woody malt. Finish is spicy and malty. Not great, but pretty good. beastmaster (381) - Florida, USA - OCT 4, 2014
Nice pour at darwins pub in austin tx. No head... Orangey brown hazy with no carbonation. Medium body. Malty, aroma of marzipan and toffee. Not my fav TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 5, 2014
Pours a darker amber color with white head. Caramel malts and roasted malts on the nose; follows onto the palate. A pretty simple oktoberfest style beer.

Sample at Hay Merchant. Orange-amber pour with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is malty with a bit of hops in the background. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2012
Draught at the Alamo Drafthouse - S. Lamar, Austin, Oct. 20. Pours a deep orange with an average size foamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, some sugary sweetness and a hint of chocolate. Flavour of caramel malt, sweet fruit and nuts -- a bit watery as well. Average bodied. It’s fine, not really my thing though. Wordsworth (147) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Very smooth and accessible. An oak barrel Oktoberfest that goes down easy. Robbievegas (230) - Las vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 1, 2012
A great marzen from Austin based live oak brewery! Great palate, good color, good job!

A bit more herbatious and caramely with a feral quality. Malts are very interesting. The yeast eaters are complex to the point of confusion. Finish is clean without much linger.
