COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A fall classic, our Oaktoberfest emphasizes rich malt flavor. We use German malt and hops to give it an authentic Bavarian character. The rich maltiness of this brew is a good match with spicy cuisine, as well as barbecue. Live Oak Oaktoberfest will certainly raise the level of enjoyment at your next fall gathering. Available September - December

Very smooth and accessible. An oak barrel Oktoberfest that goes down easy.

Malty and woody. Pours a heavy gold amber with off white sudsy head. Some small specks of aids remain on the glass and anring around the edge of the beer. Medium bodied. A little chewy. Very malty. A hint of dough. A hint of wood. A hint of grass. Clean finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at Waller Creek. Pours dark orange with a small white blanket of head. Nutmeg, oak, dry leaves. Light sweetness. Lighter than average mouthfeel for style. Dry finish.

Has a really weird flavor at the end that’s reminiscent of artificial sweetner. Good look and mouthfeel.

Copper pour, no head. Nose is malt.. Bittersweet. Middle is slightly woody malt. Finish is spicy and malty. Not great, but pretty good.

Pours a darker amber color with white head. Caramel malts and roasted malts on the nose; follows onto the palate. A pretty simple oktoberfest style beer.

Sample at Hay Merchant. Orange-amber pour with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is malty with a bit of hops in the background. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

blankboy (7780) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2012
Draught at the Alamo Drafthouse - S. Lamar, Austin, Oct. 20. Pours a deep orange with an average size foamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, some sugary sweetness and a hint of chocolate. Flavour of caramel malt, sweet fruit and nuts -- a bit watery as well. Average bodied. It’s fine, not really my thing though.

A bit more herbatious and caramely with a feral quality. Malts are very interesting. The yeast eaters are complex to the point of confusion. Finish is clean without much linger. ---That dog will hunt!
