Pint glass at DH- served a transparent light burnt orange color, creamy white 1mm white head was present with a firm ring around the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Hits the mouth with a light medium body, malt tastes like less caramel was added than their typical oktoberfest bier, smoke is very present in the middle, finish is tangy from smoke and the hardwood feel. Keep ’em coming Live Oak!!! kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 26, 2012
Holy shit, this is a smoky beer. Reminds me of beef for some reason. Maybe from eating enough, not too much, brisket. For all you techies out there its a reddish tinted amber lager, clean, with no head. The finish is just like the flavor, as I’ve already described.
