Pint glass at DH- served a transparent light burnt orange color, creamy white 1mm white head was present with a firm ring around the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Hits the mouth with a light medium body, malt tastes like less caramel was added than their typical oktoberfest bier, smoke is very present in the middle, finish is tangy from smoke and the hardwood feel. On draft. Toffee smoke? I think so. Flavors of fruit tree smoke and chewy malts. Not sweet or syrupy, but just short of crisp. Faint chocolate malts at the finish. Well done! lownote (585) - Austin, Alabama, USA - NOV 25, 2015
Light malty aroma. Clear copper, white head. Taste is sweet at first and then the smoke takes over, lingering for a while. Can’t figure out how to rate that. At first it’s great but it gets to be too much. I would drink again but it could be less smoky.
